I think it cost between $100-300 from what I've seen. Personally I have a hacked version of it so I might be able to send you it via aim if you'd like.

CS 3 is out, has been for a little while but not very long, check that out. Of course, everything leaks on to the internet, but, buying things once in a while isn't too bad of a decision..

Distributing pirated software is bad. As much as it sucks, you should probably buy the full version. Finish your trial and if you really like it, continue by buying it or using it at your school (Most public or private highschools will have it, religious ones have nothing for money so...) trust me, the work you make will be worth the investment.

Ways to get this money:
- Tell your parents about the wonders of this educational investment
- Get a job

You don't have to get CS3 to get a great version of Photoshop.

You don't need the latest and most expensive program to manipulate pixels.

Get CS2 for cheaper; as a novice user you won't even notice the difference.

Looks like you discovered filters.

Here's a tip: Use LOTS of filters. It makes everything look really professional. The more filters, the better!

That decent for first day, kinda plain though, and the picture of Sonic is kinda rough.

Here's one I made first day:

It's way too big and blurry, it looked better when it was shrunk down on my 22" monitor.

You realize that you can make works of art on the computer without Photoshop? You might want to try some of the good freeware art programs before you think about your purchase. Just to throw an idea out for people who want to buy Photoshop.

I've never used anything beyond Microsoft Paint and a pixel editor, but then again, I'm not too much into computer art, I like to hand draw my stuff. What would I know?

Yeah, GIMP ftw. I used to use CS2 (and I'm a newbie at photoshop and GIMP but oh well) and then I switched to GIMP after CS2 somehow got erased from my hard drive. I downloaded it again, but it's a strange place now. =(
I'd rather get Photoshop for free, but that's just me. O_o

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O
