So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

lol @ jam. thanks... i guess. it is my mission in life to make people open their minds to things, infact all the people that call me their best friend used to have a bitter hatred of me.
omega. your other example was the two scientists, or the symbolized math. both are correct. but missplaced. had we been arguing about it then you would have won. no argument here. Master of Spelling. if it will help you sleep at night i will change it. i agree, off all things in life. girls are by far the most beautifull. the next question is: Why make art? personnaly i think art has no point in sociaty. it serves no purpose. but it is the pointless things in life that are the most remembered. i myself am an artist by trade. it is an expression.

As for the topic, i cant seem to find anything beautyful, because im not thinking visually. Im thinking more along the lines of the begining of life...mostly how many animals start out small and grow. It amazes me how you can look at a baby and realize one day it will be a full grown human. Quote:

thank you all for the complements. i am no smarter then most. i simply try to be as eloquent as possible. i think art is everything, it amazes me the complexity inherint in things that most people take for granted. it also doesnt hurt that i have a lot of free time to ponder such things.
alvask8er, well done. i think this thread is now covered.

asking for a reason to most human emotions or the way things appeal to us wont get you much. its just something inside that tells you that you like it. brain functions or something... whatever. different people have different definitions of beauty because of various innumerable factors inside their mind, so basically the answer to "why is it beautiful" is simply "because".

i would dissagree. i find everything beautifull because of the amazing complexity in everything. i know why i find it funny. and also hence i like painting that displays a wide array of differant things in it.

I find beauty in snow. I'm telling you, when I get the chance I'm gonna go move to Alaska or someplace, or at least take a trip there, and go hiking in the mountains. I can't give an explanation or anything for it, its an instinctive feeling.
And about art not being useful, one use for it that I can think of off the top of my head is as religious symbols. For example, in Greece, they would paint their vases with mythological creatures to give its recipient (if its for an award) luck in whatever the god's power is.
