Single-player view, in Multi-player
Part of the reason MP lags more is because it has 2x the notes on screen at once. For easier songs, this makes no difference, as most computers can handle twice the notes... but on songs where you have 20-50 (Making up numbers, obviously) notes on screen at once, it begins to get a lil' laggy.
The right side of MP is the exact same thing as the left (Minus the fact that you get flashy things when you hit a note, and they don't). The only use to it is to see what score your opponent is getting, and their combo. Add an option to turn off their notes on your screen, however leave the Perfect/Good/Average ratings and the display of their combo. This will decrease lag. In addition, add a feature that if I click my opponent's green/yellow loaded/loading disc, that it will select the same song for me, as they have selected. Will save some time for players by doing this. (Threat to this idea is people playing songs that they don't have. It should be easy enough to code to avoid this exploit, however).

Good ideas, although nothing that hasn't been suggested before. I'd still like to see this stuff happen though.

Re: Single-player view, in Multi-player
I may just start playing MP again if this somehow ends up happening. I really don't pay attention to the other side anyway (except maybe a glance over at their combo <.<).

Yeah, the opponent's arrows themselves are pointless since they just reflect exactly what you do, but cause a lot of lag.
Good idea
