Default Better Classical Music... and maybe some jazz...

The classical music section is crazy. All the songs are for Gurus and Masters only. I would like some options that I can play too. Secondly, I think it would be awesome to have some Jazz in the mix too. Ragtime and Funk are fine, but I think it would be really cool to have some Miles Davis, Coletrain, or even Stan Kenton. Thanx.

He means it can happen but they'll all be 13/12 difficulty and no one wants to step an easy classical song.

I'd be happy to step some classical stuff once I can get the permissions. What level are you looking for in particular?

do you have permission, Tass, for any of these...

-Butterfly Etude (chopin)
-Fantasie Impromptu (chopin)
-La Campanella (liszt)

i think they'd be amazing on FFR.

ok. found a new guy who basically has MIDIs of all the same stuff.... asking for his permission. and also checking to see the quality of it. the other guy's quality was really good (T. Leen... see Turkish March, minus the low volume).

he has a version of Fantaisie Impromptu, no La Campanella (although it would be an excellent file), and he has a full version of Chopin's Etude Op. 25... No 9 of which is Butterfly... only problem is that it isn't broken down into the 12 parts... it's 1 25 minute long file. so you'd have to cut it at the appropriate times.

FI's quality is quite good. Even a bit layered. Sound is a little low in parts though.

No need for permission of songs that are composed 1923 or before.
still needs performer's permission though.

I have some my own classical MIDI, ftw.
So basically I can set any BPM I want.

all of the classical permissions i've gotten are from the performers. all MIDIs off of classicalarchive.com, a great site if you enjoy classical.

e-mail sent.

Spinal Compression is right about the easy classical songs. I guess i can live with the ones that are there. but i do think fantasie impromptu would be awesome, and maybe a rachmaninoff prelude.

i would love to see a stepfile for La Campanella, that was one of my choices out of a bunch of classical music to step this summer

i'll check out that site too

would you accept la campanella though? there would definitately be like jacks like molto in there and some really fast trills that would give jack syndrome =\

ronda alla turca is the greatest classical song ever composed, and we already have two versions of it
the classical section is complete

I know you said they took the MIDIs of the site, but if we get permission from elsewere could you look for Liszt's Gnomenreigen? Or a Rachmaninoff prelude?

Or maybe the Sabre Dance.

i actually already heard back from this new guy. so we have 100+ classical again. mostly beethoven.

honestly, classicalarchive is the best place to look for getting classical music. its just a shame that you have to pay to access their archives.
