They're really... cheesy. Same with Linkin Park. Nickelback is... meh. Always sounds like I just heard that song... and I'm listening to it twice in a row. Makes me want to attack the speakers. Incubus, Our Lady Peace, Greenwheel, Hoobastank, Matchbox 20, Oasis, Goo Goo Dolls, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears.

It depends.. I go through moods, where I listen to certain things.. I'm going to spout out a lot.. Because I really think they are all up there together.
Clapton (specifically his Cream era) Hendrix (specifically, everything) The Beatles (later stuff) Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra <-- simply amazing. Hepcat Sex Machine Guns are a Japanese Iron Maiden. I wish I understood the lyrics. The videos are great. Rage Against the Machine (the third album was ok.. the first two were better) Less Than Jake (Losing Streak and Pezcore were their best albums. The new stuff sucks) Mu330 Let's Go Bowling Sublime Operation Ivy Bad Religion Santana Dead Kennedys Rancid (first three albums mostly) Ghastly Ones The Bomboras Dick Dale Dvorak 311 Mad Caddies Reverend Horton Heat AC/ DC Stray Cats Weezer (first two albums only..sorry Weez, but you suck now) Creedence Clearwater Red Elvises I guess some people are waiting for electronic names to drop.. Echo Hive John B Gridlok Space Buddha Transa Bassdriver Growling Mad Scientists Alphazone Dom and Roland Skynet Concord Dawn Oceanlab Infected Mushroom Hallucinogen Pendulum Ram Trilogy Teebee Nomad Etnica Roni Size Paul B I would list myself, but I think I only end up listening to my own music because I wrote it.

Blink is awful. They're one of the least talented bands out there. Let's look at a guitar tab from a popular song, shall we?
All the small things: e-----------------------------------------------------------| B-----------------------------------------------------------| G-------------------5--------10-----------------------------| D---(5)-----(3)-----5 (x8 )---10 (x8 )---5--------3XXXXXX33---| A---(5)-----(3)-----3---------8--------5 (x8 )---3XXXXXX33---| E---(3)-----(1)------------------------3--------1XXXXXX11---| Verse (x4): (palm mute) e-----------------------------------------------------------| B-----------------------------------------------------------| G---5-------------------------------------------------------| D---5 (x8 )---5--------3--------5----------------------------| A---3--------5 (x8 )---3 (x8 )---5 (x8 )-----------------------| E------------3--------1--------3----------------------------| "Say it ain't so..." (let ring) e-----------------| B-----------------| G-----5-----------| D-----5-----------| A-----3-----------| E-----------------| Chorus (x2): e----------------------------------------------------------| B----------------------------------------------------------| G---5------------------------------------------------------| D---5 (x12)---5--------3-----------------------------------| A---3---------5 (x8 )---3 (x8 )------------------------------| E-------------3--------1-----------------------------------| Repeat Intro all same as 1st time except change as follows: e-----------------------| B-----------------------| G---10--------10--------| D---10 (x4)---10 (x4)---| (You'll hear what I'm A---8----------7--------| talking about.) E-----------------------| Repeat verse (x4) Break @ 1:45 (palm mute): e--------------| B--------------| G---5----------| D-------5------| A--------------| E--------------| Outro(x4): e-------------------------------------------| B-------------------------------------------| G---5---------------------------------------| D---5 (x12)------5-----------3--------------| A---3------------5 (x8 )------3 (x8 )---------| E----------------3-----------1--------------| All of their songs are pretty much in the same mold. Check out any that you want. http://www.aztabs.com/b%5Cblink182/default.asp Beyond that, one of the singers' voice annoys the hell out of me- it's like high pitched and scratchy. |

Well I have no idea what goes on in guitar tabs as I've never picked one up in my life.
Edit: A guitar. Never picked up a guitar. Anyway my favourite bands right now are... Dredg Incubus Tool Bif Naked Kittie (sorta) Our Lady Peace Marilyn Manson etc etc etc. All the nice stuff.

For example, Bob Dylan almost exclusively wrote songs with just three chords. That's all. Three chords on a guitar, and then possibly some harmonica. (Until the 80's when he learned what I minor chord was ) And he's considered to be one of the most genius musicians of the past 50+ years and....ever. Now, he's considered to be a genius not for his music, but his lyrics, but you never mentioned the lyrics of Blink 182, you just mentioned that their songs were easy. Maybe you've fallen into the Dream Theater complex My problem with Blink 182 is the singing, mostly. Along with other stuff, too. But still. And, no, I don't like Bob Dylan, really, but I just as easily could.
