Re: Sex
aww thanks you two, that made me smile
i definitely needed that :] and when i think of sex, i actually do try to make myself think of the main reason sex is there...which is procreation, having children, the circle of life and all that. i've said it before, i really don't have a positive outlook on sex at all cuz of past experiences. for me it's more of a burden than fun. it's more of a punishment than pleasure. and yes i kno i think differently than most ppl...but that's just how my experiences shaped me i suppose

Re: Sex
Sex is something that some people like to do and some people dont. Everyone has there own opinions on how sex should be used in their life. Sex is something that can be enjoyed or can be hated. I read this whole thread so far and found a bunch of different opinions that relate to people of different area status and whole different areas. Sex can be viewed in many ways and imo it shouldnt be an open topic unless it is confined in one's enviornmental setting.

Re: Sex
Ah, funny, when I think of sex, I think of danger. I kind of giggle inside whenever someone says, "safe sex." This is all opinion and such obviously, but I think that if you're going to have sex, expect a child.. After all, that is what it's there for. If you're having sex purely for pleasure, you're walking on thin ice, and if you're against abortion at the same time, you may run into some serious financial problems in the near future.
Meh, I feel like a health teacher preaching to students.. I don't mean to sound so robotic, but in all honesty, if you really LOVE someone (No, I am not talking about infatuation.. I mean, you'd rather die than have them die kind of love ^_~), then hopefully you'll be happy together, with or without sex. Uh, definition? Sex = Choice with just as many pros as cons.. Well, depending on how much you want it. |

Re: Sex
I think that sex IS a need, where do babies come from? But then again, where do stem cell clones/the result of artificial pregnancies come from?
In my own humble opinion, having sex is not always just for pleasure, speaking in terms of love I think that sex is a way of expressing to your partner that you love them. With that being said im not saying it is the highest form or the only way, there are many ways to express ones love to one another. Some say that spooning (lying down on your sides and one partner is behind the other holding them, much like when spoons are stacked, not "butseks") is the highest form of affection for one another. But there is always the "lets get drunk and doet for fun" sex, that is good too, but I doubt it is as emotionally or sexually fulfilling as sex with a loved one. It can also be a form of control, such as in the mind of a person who forces sex onto another. A "rapist" would force sex onto someone as to show to them that they have absolute control, that they have "pwnt" the other person to the maxorz. Sex can also be a form of art, a way of selling products, a way of attracting attention and a way of expressing yourself. It comes in all shapes and forms and everyone has their own opinions on sex. Does anyone have an opinion, speaking in moral and cultural standards, of when people should have sex? I mean, I know there are maturity things to take into account, and cultural/religious beliefs, personal beliefs, situation, etc. But what does everyone think? P.S <-- Virgin :P Last edited by chunky_cheese; 03-6-2007 at 08:46 PM.. |

Re: Sex
i always wanted to wait until marriage, even tho when i was really young i told my mum i'd never get married. :] but yea, that didn't work out too well. so now i don't care as much. tho i think that the b-day present i give myself in a couple days will be abstinence...but my bf would hate me for that :[

Re: Sex
Another question, what is the difference between abstinence and celibacy? :P
EDIT: Abstinence reffers to not giving into a desire for food or alcohol mostly, but is more general, celibacy is stricly refraining from giving into sexual desires. Although im sure anyone in the catfish pact already knows that... |

Re: Sex
id have to agree with woodsicle, sex should be for someone who you plan on being with your whole life. Alot of people say 'man its too hard to wait!' but i think they are just weak and dont know anything about love.

Re: Sex
well i don't think maturity is specifically for certain age groups, but it's true that 'most' ppl mature over the years

Re: Sex
I think he means "maturity" as in a level that realizes sex is not necessary to express your love for someone.
