A day late cause I didn't start the upload till late at night and I needed my sleep :/



In the end I didn't get as much as wanted to get done because I didn't expect school and hectic weekends.

Since this is a "project" with some ongoing quality, I'll still be uploading music and the games whenever they are released (**** off simulation style). I also really want to translate some h-doujins XD so be on the lookout for that.

The Night When The Country East You Cannot Sleep - Yesssss - Only file in the pack I haven't actually played, but it's obviously garbage if he just Babelfished the name.
Ancient Temple - Benny1 - 8.5/10. One of Benny's older Touhou files, but still good.
Border of Life - Moogy - 5/10. This pretty much sucks.
Casket of Star - Benny1 - 8/10. Kinda boring.
Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome Kagome - HST - 0/10. HST file.
Marisa Stole the Precious Thing - Zaghurim - 3/10. Terrible patterns and nonsensical steps.

I didn't think that the pack was that bad. I just think it went from two extremes really. Good songs to terrible wtf songs.

Alright, so the Reviews:

Chinese Tea - Kil
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

Yeah, Lot of hand patterns as you may have guessed it is a Kil file. Hell of a lot of fun if you can do it though. The song is interesting too. And also, as you may have guessed, its pretty colorful. Well-synced fun to play. (Note: Yeah, its also ranked as a one footer, don't dismiss it)

Verdict: Recommended

The Night When The Country East You Cannot Sleep - Yesssss
Class: 4 Finger (Good Index players may be able to beat this)

Doubles intertwined with 16th stream. Nothing completely out of the ordinary, but doesn't take away from the file. Jacks make it a challenging AAA. Pretty good.

Verdict: Recommended

Ancient Temple - Benny1
Class: Intermediate 4 Finger (Do-able on Index)

Long song, kind of repetitive. The song is mellow, cool and relaxed. The file is pretty good and steps flow well. Lot of Minijacks (Easy Minijacks). My one complaint about the song is that it doesn't really climax anywhere.

Verdict: Recommended

Border of Life - Moogy
Class: 4 Finger

Lot of jumpstream, and repetitiveness, and 32nds. The song is cut terribly (Abruptly just ends), and the bg isn't exactly eye candy as it's much too large for the screen. The stepfile is just 16th stream with 32nds thrown in. It's proficient.

Verdict: Not Recommended

Casket of Star - Benny1
Class: 4 Finger

Jumpstreamy, but fun. Plethora of 16ths and doubles, but what allows this to be fun is the style in which they are laid. Makes it easy for a 4 finger player to find a pattern and go with it.

Verdict: Recommended

Cinderella Cage ~ Kagome Kagome - HST
Class: Heavy-4 Finger/Oni 4 Finger ONLY

Extremely proficient. The proficiency takes away from the fun in the oni. It's not so bad in the heavy. Lot of freeze patterns in this one, so if you don't like holding notes and hitting other ones (I had a hard time doing well with this file) then you won't like this file. Song kicks ass though.

Verdict:
Heavy - Light-heartedly Recommended
Oni - For a challenge, definitely. Not worth it on a regular basis.

Marisa Stole the Precious Thing - Zaghurim
Class: 4 Finger Hard

I found the file layout pretty fun, but the bg is a bit unappealing. The song is a bit strange, and requires a few plays to get the hang of really.

Verdict: Recommended

Eternal Nocturne - Benny1

Warning: Offset is way off. I would hit f12 twice during song to help it, unless you can manually do it yourself a way you are more comfortable.

Class: 4 finger (Indexable - Bit challenging)

Its pretty good, minus the offset thing. Big complain is that there is a pretty long boring part in the middle which seems to last forever and then the song kicks back in.

Verdict: Light Heartedly Recommended

Fight on Darkness - DDRAce
Class: Not Exactly Index Friendly

I played this song with Index. I didn't have much problem with it minus a few parts here and there, but I'm a 4 finger player so any good index player (which doesn't take much to beat me in that category) should have 0 problem with this file. However, the file is a bit boring and repetitive.

Verdict: Not Recommended.

Love-coloured Master Spark - HST
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

Freeze Stream once again. Very techinically proficient, but lacks a bit in the fun department. The oni is just a more 32nd heavy version of the heavy.

Verdict: Heavy - Maybe if you are up for the challenge.
Oni - Avoid it.

Lunar Saturation - HST
Class: 4 Finger Hard

No Freeze Stream! Weee! Proficient song, and a bit more fun than the others. Pretty challenging, gets a little boring here and there.

Verdict: Recommended.

Lunatic Eyes ~ Invisible Full Moon - HST
Class: 4 Finger Intermediate

Doesn't really get into anything too hard until the end. Few 32nd trills here and there, but they make sense. Nothing stands out too much about this song however.

Verdict: Up to you.

Mou Uta Shika Kikoenai - Glove
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

Pretty hard file. I didn't find it too appealing because of its difficulty. Definitely a brag song though.

Verdict: Up to you.

Mystic Oriental Love Consultant - Benny1
Class: Heavy - 4 Finger Hard / Oni - 4 Finger HARD

Not much difference between the two. More air in the second one. First one is pretty fun, though I think the syncing is off just slightly, something just doesn't seem right. Overall the heavy isn't that bad. The song has a quick pace to it.

Verdict: Heavy - Go for it / Oni - For the Challenge.

One Coin Game - Malice
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

I would play it for it originality and its difficulty if you are into that sorta thing. 16ths barely live here. many 12ths and 24ths. The song isn't too appealing though. Hands, freezes, it implements it all.

Verdict: Recommended.

Plain Asia - Glove
Class: 4 Finger HARD

Not bad, 32nds thrown here and there. Pretty proficient, little repetitive though, and nothing out of the ordinary.

Verdict: You wouldn't be missing much if you played another song.

Plastic Mind - Zaghurim
Class: 4 Finger ONLY/HARD

I don't think many peopel are passing this index. Thats besides the point anyway. The song is amazing, the steps are pretty good. They flow well and its pretty proficient. I've been having a lot of fun playing it, downside is that for its difficulty its pretty long, so it does take a tax on your arms.

Verdict: Recommended

Reniro! shitsusou Ma~san - Hitman
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

I don't know, lotta jacks in this one. That makes it fun to me, but 95% of everyone hates them. There are a few nonsensical parts in it with doubles that just make it impossibly hard to understand. The song is pretty cool though. If you are up to the challenge, I say go for it. Other than that, continue on.

Verdict: Only for the Challenge

Sleepless Night of the Eastern Country - Benny1
Class: 4 finger (Indexable - Bit challenging)

Its challenging for an index song. I played it index myself so its very possible, its just a little aggrevating. The 32nds will keep everyone on their toes. The song isn't exactly on my "To Listen" list, but the stepfile is done well as far as proficiency is concerned. There does seem to be a small offset issue with this one, but its not as bad as eternal nocturne.

Verdict: Light-Heartedly Recommended.


Synaxis Symphony - Ninshikou
Class: Heavy- 4 finger (Indexable but Chaellenging)/ Oni - 4 Finger ANNOYING/ONLY

Thats right, this song will piss practically every 4 fingered player who wants to play it twice off. Its not a song that difficult to pass, but its definitely a song thats difficult to do too well on. This song is probably the reason Proficiency doesn't always mean fun.

Verdict:The heavy isn't really anything speical. Chances are you won't be missing out on any great brags unless you AAA this [The oni that is]. So play it once, and make your decision after that. Just don't go telling people I told you

The Brain of the Moon - HST
Class: 4 Finger Hard (Indexable - For the better players)

I had fun with this song. Its patterns were likeable for 4 fingered standards, I overall thought it was good. It was proficient and fun, thats what we look for in a song, right? There are other factors, the only limiting factor to this one, is that I think it could have done with being a bit shorter. Not a bad thing though.

Verdict: Recommended

The Dream Duel - Benny1
Class: 4 Finger ONLY/HARD

It's a challenging song, nothing really special, buncha doubles combined within 16th runs. Same old stuff, nothing out of the ordinary. The songs kinda cool.

Verdict: Nothings stopping you from playing it.

The Lunatic Princess - eurostud
Class: 4 Finger HARD

Freeze patterns, 16ths, and doubles. Finally used in a way where they are entertaining, and the song is badass to boot. I had fun with this one, and its a fun Challenging AAA.

Verdict: Recommended

Touhou Apocalypse - Moogy
Class: 4 Finger ONLY

More stuff we haven't seen before. The BG isn't too appealing, the songs not that bad and its just a mess of proficiency. Its cool for the challenge, but I don't seeing many probably less than 10 or 20 or so AAAing this, and that 10 or 20 would have to be very good. The 32nds in this kill this song in my opinion.

Verdict: Not Recommended

UNknown Girl - Benny1
Class: 4 Finger HARD

Its a challenging song, more 16ths, an array of 12ths with tempo changes makes this song in this pack a must play. Well done and stepped. I don't play it often, that may just be me though.

Verdict: Recommended

Voyage 1969 - Pants vs. Tada
Class: Heavy - 4 Finger HARD /Oni - 4 Finger ANNOYING

Heavy: Some of the 16ths seem way out of place in way too many parts. The doubles that form to make the minijacks are unnecessary, and the song just feels weird.

Oni: Garbage. Don't play it. It's a mess of hands and jacks where they shouldn't be, its just bad. Its very difficult and the song doesn't call for that range of difficulty. Its not very proficient either. Length wise, it seems short to me, but may be adequate to others.

Voyage 1969 - L2D vs. Rewind
Class: 4 Finger HARD

(OMG CALL BIAS HE MADE IT)

Proficient, patterns are fun, and the "Vs." idea behind it is different. Rather than make and Oni and a Heavy, we took the two pieces of the song one for me and one for him. But this isn't background on my file. All in all, I would say this file should be played, its not too long (despite it being a long file) and the patterns are fun.

Verdict: Recommended

Voyage 1970 - Moogy
Class: 4 Finger (Indexable with some akwardness)

*scratches head* If you want to playa song with nothing but a 16th run, I'd go pick up Quasar or Emerald sword. Those are alot better.

Verdict: Skip it.

Higan Retour - HST
Class: Heavy - 4 Finger ONLY / Oni - The same thing but harder.

It was cool in the beginning, then once again, no surprise, the proficiency screwed up the fun level. I'm afraid to play the oni again. Oni would be a cool brag if you can pass it.

Verdict: Skip it.

Overall:
Not bad, the pack has its ups and downs. The files need to be more strictly judged.
