Just to elaborate on the 17 minute song idea, I think it would work pretty well if it were kept as long as it is now (over max possible points) and keep the jacks in it. That way the hardcore rank players would have the satisfaction of getting rank 1 for only FCing it (then there is always bragging rights for insane SS scores) and everyone else who doesn't really care about FC'ing will be happy to have the notes go along with the music.

Considering the length of the song, the FC would be like a AAA in a way, and it would only need to be done once so the frustration of achieving the AAA would be gone.

Stepfile artist today are like monkeys with tools they almost get it but there just not quite there.I mean what is this,you go from slow stupid dragged out boring part to jacks to a slow stream to more jacks back to just slow no reason to be there arrows back to jacks.I miss the days of stepfiles that had some sort of theme to them.Like know they find a song and stick some arrows in and hope it all goes well.

The song does this, which is why the steps do this. Blame aspergian if you don't like it.

and Jammer...no. Incorrectly displaying scores isn't a feasible solution.

I 100% agree you cant have a song that dosent work with the current system. Personally I love the idea of the 17 minute song along with it in seperate parts in arcade. I do recomend that all the hard jacks are removed so that the song has some degree of FC'ing ability for the players like me and sash

Every time I play this part agian it keeps getting better, keep up the good work.

I personally do not see what would be so bad about having one song that maxes out in score with a full combo. It would set it apart from the rest (something a song of the year should do) and wouldn't have an effect on ranking because the FC would essentially be like getting a AAA.

I guess the downside would be boo-whores though, but that shouldn't have much of an effect on ranks either.

Because it would render timing, an integral part of this game, completely irrelevant.

If the song was something like MSWGO, which would be effectively impossible to FC on FFR, I could understand, since PA would be irrelevant anyway...but something that's going to be FC'd by multiple people cannot ignore PA. Period.

Alright I see where your coming from with that, and after this post I don't think I'll be making any more defenses for this idea, but if all parts of the song are in game in 5 chunks (which would be PA dependant) would it be such a horrible thing if there were a bonus song of the year type version of this song that maxes out at a FC?

Edit: Guess it's not just me concerning part 2
