Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
I keep thinking D7 is going to make a last minute comeback with all the current 1g scores and AlexDest's double booflag turning into AAAs
Then that would be 17 players next round haha |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
Hey AJ, got a question, it might've been answered in this thread and I apologise for my lack of attentiveness heh, but I was wondering in the case of a 'tiebreak scenario' where for example, the top 19 as it stands, go through to Round 5, how do we determine who gets Fractured Sunshine? Will it be determined by who finished 9th-16th in Round 5 or do we have to play the D6 file as has been suggested? Or is there another scenario?

Quote:
Those of you that are tied for the number of places tied to move on will play a tiebreaking song (which may or may not be D6's next song, depending on availability of files) -- this song will be in play for this division for ONE day. Because the tie starts at 16th place, only one person will survive the tiebreaker. In this case, the tie extends from 16th (cutoff) to 19th, so you four will break the tie with another song, and the winner of the tiebreaker will receive 16th place for that round, therefore moving on. The other three players will be eliminated there. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
If one person from below the line improves, there will be an 8 way tiebreaker, and only one person will be eliminated in said tiebreaker.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
Baaaaah, I can't play my file anymore. Like... I just can't. I tried the "stop playing" approach and took a mini-FFR break.
Didn't quite work out, now I feel like I can't play really hard files now after playing for an hour. Dang it, there goes my chance at Fractured Sunshine unless someone doesn't improve. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
Have you tried training through re-conditioning? Play it at a lower rate where it almost seems useless to play that low because you can do it easily (as a D6 player, I have a feeling that this threshold would be 0.8x or so), and then bump it up gradually and make your way back to 1.0. (Alternatively, if you like to brute force, you can play the song repeatedly at 1.1x, and then bring yourself back to 1.0 for the appearance of an easier/slower file.)
