Question!
Ok, so i just recently bought a computer and had issues because it wouldn't let me hit 3 or 4 buttons at once. I bought a new keyboard and solved that issue. NOW, there is a really weird problem I can't figure out. If I play FFR on a normal browser without using standalone it plays perfectly with no lag. When I go to standalone it is very laggy and almost unplayable. The problem is I can't play on the "not standalone" because with standalone I normally play on a somewhat minimized window which helps me see easier.
So my question is why is the standalone lagging so bad when I thought it was always supposed to help with lag and what option(s) are there to try and solve this problem to make standalone work better? |

Re: Question!
I remember SA being pretty bad for me on the newer Flash players, I really don't know if this will work, but have you tried using an older version? Or you could try prioritising the processing to Flash player itself.

Re: Question!
Played a guy in mp today that reported that browser worked better for him than standalone. It shocked me too.

Re: Question!
Or, if you can't figure it out, you can just zoom out of the browser version with Ctrl and -. Results may vary depend on OS and browser.

Re: Question!
since im not the greatest with computers, idk how to "override" an older flash player with the one i have now. I'm not used to this computer and can't even find the flash player under program files to uninstall it then reinstall a new one.
or am i wrong and once you download a new flash player it then becomes the default? |

You can have two different versions of Flash simultaneously though. I mainly use 9 but I have a newer version, 11 or 12 I think, that allows for rates and whatnot.

Re: Question!
does anyone know how to program a keyboard (logitech) so that i can hit 4 buttons at once (ASJK)? I keep reading up on macro keys but i just dont understand all this computer lingo. Right now the only thing that works is if i program Left, Down, 8, 9 (8 & 9 are on the number pad, not below the F keys. even though this works its very awkward for my wrists and not a practical setup

Re: Question!
Macro keys won't help you fix ghosting because if a key don't register correctly, it won't register correctly even if you macro it to another key.
Use this site: http://www.microsoft.com/appliedscie...explained.mspx and try combinations of keys until you find the most comfortable one that works. As for standalone lag: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=120256 check if there's anything helpful in the "lag reduction" part of the first post. Re: Question!
If you press all four keys down at the same time while playing FFR and the receptors don't do anything, or only three of them go down, then you have a ghosting problem. If they all go down, then you have an offset problem and you're actually missing the notes.

i just dont understand how theres a ghosting issue when this keyboard i bought is supposed to eliminate that. not only that but literally the only 4 key combination that works with no problem is [Left, Down, 8(up) and 9(pg up)] and how come that ghost tester says that my keyboard is fine and that i can literally hit every key in every row without conflict? this is beyond frustrating |
