Hey guys I wanted to take this time to apologize to any of you I may have ever lashed out on. I know I haven't been perfect, and I know at times I get frazzled. Things have been crazy all around for me and I just let stuff get to me a lot harder than I should have. A lot of things have been starting to improve for me and my overall mood has been getting better, but I will admit a lot of things said in the forums as of late brought me down a bit again. I don't want to run away and quit because I love this community. So I'm making this thread to give you all an apology, and for you all to voice what I can do better to improve FFR for you. Of course there are limitations, like I can't change the rules of the site, and I'm no coder, so just whatever things I can personally help you all with.

It's not at all that I don't want to hear what you guys have to say, so don't think that. I just a lot of times feel more like attacked rather than talked to, if that makes sense. But that could be just me over stressed.

Wow, that's the first thing like this i've seen since i came to FFR. It's nice to see you slowly getting better, no one asks for perfection and personally i think you're doing a fine job moderating. I think it's just a matter of keeping emotions under control (This goes for anyone who loses their temper easily) and i'm not saying everything has to be rainbows and vanilla snack pack happy land, but just finding a balance between serious and calm.

I was never one to lose my temper easily before. I think I was just super overwhelmed by a lot of things and I let it get the better of me, even though I knew better than to do so.

Kayla, as your friend... You do have your moments when you jump on things to rashly, and as someone who does it them self, I understand why, and I do hope that you do get better emotionally and at controlling that rashness.

You tend to take things personally which tends to force a passive aggressive attitude towards your moderation. You do your duties, no doubt... but I think as tough as it is, try completely ignoring antagonizing comments or similar things.... and keep your sights on the rules exclusively without your own personal opinion mixed in... or something similar... know what I mean? ><;;;

I think a hard thing for me to move past is I want to be able to voice my opinion on things like any other community member, but when I do it's perceived as a "my word is law" deal when in reality I want to explain my viewpoint as well. It sometimes feels like I can't be a mod and still be part of the community as well. So maybe suggestions for how I can still be like a regular member without people interpreting it as me trying to lay down da law?

This stuff is one of the best qualities someone in your position could possibly have, major props Kayla!

I really hope no one will hold any grudge against you! We all have our downs when shit keep storming into the fan that projects it all in our faces, and I'm sure everyone on here will understand that.

Even though I've never had a single thing against you ever since I started posting (since the scavenger hunt), I can say that you definitely sound honest and truly willing to work on getting back on your track!

And to be honest, I'm personally happy that you have a moderator position! =)

I don't know the exact intentions of your action to delete one of my posts earlier, but I think maybe you should be a bit less extreme because I did not think my post deserved to be deleted. At the very least it could have been edited with an explanation of why. Relevancy wasn't a problem as it had not strayed too far from the topic. I'm mostly confused. If the post had to be deleted, then maybe a PM or something?

I haven't been around much to know how often you do it or if I really have any problem at all with you. It's just something recent that I've seen, and it concerns me.

It was deleted because it was a response to something that was part of an argument that was also deleted. So your post wouldn't have made sense to have up anymore with the others gone. I did it to prevent further derailment of the thread. As per PMs, if I had to PM everyone every time a post were deleted it would be awfully time consuming. :/
