This website is going to cause so much uproar... its a great loophole that was made to prevent them from being closed down from the current internet copyright laws. Currently, it's legal.

In short, Mega cannot see your files because they are uploaded on your own local host. Therefore, Mega isn't liable for it's content, which it has no knowledge of what is being uploaded to it.

Well, i can't upload anything .. it just looks frozen in the manager and then skips to random times it's been uploading for @ 0 kbps, giving me a time of infinity lol. Someone give me a DL link to a song maybe?

Signed up, got my confirmation, and I'm in. Have nothing to upload so haven't tried it yet to see if it works since people last posted about it.

EDIT: Yeah, it doesn't work yet. Probably will tomorrow when the site was supposed to launch.

I believe that's false.There was a loophole regarding his statement in court, mainly the vagueness of "business as is alleged." He's either a genius liar or luckily found the right words. I talked about it in the first article in the other thread.

"There is no realistic prospect or possibility of restoring the business or recommencing the business having regard to both the seizure of the requisite servers and data storage equipment and to the seizure of all funds, monies and assets held both by Megaupload and by me personally… Until the merits of the US government’s charges against me and my co-defendants, as well as the company, have been determined there is no ability, let alone financial incentive available to me, to try to continue to operate the business as is alleged."
