So I'm stepping a song...
Any tips? I have a basic idea of what im doing and its in sync pretty well, I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know. Also send me a PM or talk to me on AIM (SakosGunShop) if you wouldn't mind seeing how its coming along. It won't be done for a while id just like some input. Also if you help you have to play the song on Light because i accidently stepped it on that setting ^^;;. Thanks to anyone who helps.

Just create a Heavy or Oni or whatever with Light as your source. Then, delete Light. Easy transit.

DDReamstudio has a good program for making your stepfiles on-beat.

Make sure you have a backup copy of it on your desktop.
I was making one of TTFAF, but 3/4 of the way through, it was gone.

Re: So I'm stepping a song...
As a general rule, don't put too many holds or jacks into the file. Only put as many as you think are necessary, as large numbers of either tend to make the file unnecessarily difficult. (For examples of hold and jack abuse, I refer you to Nohdin's Spark Mandrill Heavy and hi19's "Blaze Heatnix" files, respectively.)
Oh, by the way...when you get to the bridge after the 2nd repetition of the chorus, it sounds like the guitar is doing 24ths, so make it a stream there to make it easier. (I can't even do the 24ths in Return of Salieri and that's under 150 bpm. >_<) Speaking of which, what's your target difficulty?

Re: So I'm stepping a song...
Try to make it index friendly. Oh wait, that would never happen...
Edit: PM'd you, I wanna test it!
