Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Because I know my hearing isin't completely gone I can hear, but barely.
I was a My Children My Bride show last night and the opening band had the worst feedback off there amps, literally a constant SQUUEEEK, it really hurt bad, but I couldn't move an inch so therefore I couldn't get away from it. Yeah, if you can help though, please do, school without hearing isin't good at all.

Holy **** bro, as far as I know you CANT just fix your hearing.
Try to get away from any sound for a few hours and just give them a rest, it may come back if they werent that badly messed up. Other then that get a hearing aid. |

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
I'm pretty sure that hearing loss is an irreversable effect on the human body. At 18 i already need a hearing aid from the damage i've done by playing hardcore techno at ridiculously loud volumes.

Wow, this might actually suck, I mean I was literally (------) that close to the speakers.

Oh man. If it were that much of a problem then you should have moved. This is serious and you should see a doctor about it. Here is a link about noise induced hearing loss:

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
I've walked out of concerts not being able to hear for a few hours...even the next day. In my case it went away, but I also wasn't standing right next to the speakers. I really think you should see a doctor.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
I'm sorry but like the others said I think it's impossible to "regain" your hearing if there's alot of damage.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
If you were close from the speaker. I think that you have been the (victim) of a constant sound of 125 dB. (120 dB is were it start to be PAINFULL). If I'm exact, what you heard is something near the sound of a jet standing at 14m from you. Could you please tell me how long have you been a (victim) of that sound. You might be able to regain hearing depending on how long you've been the (victim) of that sound.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
I there for like maybe 3hours, but there were breakd between bands and TDifficulties so there were long pauses, so take that away maybe two, 2 1/2

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Typically if you go to a semi-big concert of any sorts, it will take 1-2 days before any hearing side effects go away 100%. If you're going on 5-7 days and you're still experiencing after effects, I would recommend seeing a specialist as soon as possible.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Wait a couple of days, and if there is no difference in your hearing, go see a doctor. You might need a hearing aid.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Don't go to a specialist - there's an easy way to make your hearing perfect again.
All the equipment you need is a steak knife. Once you've found one, find the nearest infant and cut out its ears, then cut out your own and switch the two. Easy!

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Also, be sure it's not just airpockets in your ears. I went through something like the same, 'cept it was Less Claypool. For some reason, I stuck a qtip in my ear and everything was fine.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Well, you probably already know this, but you need to take a good, long break from FFR.
I had an uncle who did this to himself before I was even born and he thought "Oh, it will go away eventually". For the past 10 years, we've had to yell at him just to get his attention. And his doctor says he can't hear any sound below 1800 Hz... He lost the majority of his hearing when he was in the front row of an In Flames concert sometime around 1994.

Re: Does anyone know how to regain hearing.
Apparently listening to classical music could train your ear to be more efficient.
but really, your hearing should be good in 2-3 days after the concert.
