Or we could host C9++, JK9++ side by side. That'd be pretty boss. I also have a 10-player OC game without blatant FTS. I've found myself too busy to host at present though.

i feel like having so many replacement spots encourages people to sign up when they know they arent going to have enough time to finish the game.

I still think that players who require replacements need to be banned from signing up again. Maybe just one game of not being able to play, but repeat offenders could get longer bans.

Even permanent.
