I'm sure you're all thinking how unique I am and how awesome I am and how uniquely awesome this tournament is going to be... (:)) This tournament isn't going to be completely unique. There have been others like this before. I just wanted to try my hand at hosting one of these bad boys. Have you figured it out yet? Have you skipped this boring part and read on to the colorful tournament theme-revealing wonders in store below? Probably not cuz I'm gonna put a bunch of white space under this. Please read every word down there before you start the fun. I didn't write all that much, but what I did write is important information. Now that I'm done blabbing, SCROLL DOWN!

Welcome to Rushy's Carnival!
This is my first flash game tournament! All the games presented in today's tournament will be coming from the newly popular online flash game site www.Kongregate.com (kongregate.com/?referrer=Rushy). I will be linking every round's game in this tournament to the specific page of the game, but feel free to explore the site.
There are no divisions of course, but I feel compelled to say that. You will all be in the same group and will be scored on points. If you have the highest score or amount of tangerines or time or whatever, you will get 10 points. 2nd place will get 9 points. 3rd will get 8, 4th will get 7, etc. The lowest possible score you can get on a round that you submit a score for is 4 points. The top 6 will be awarded with higher point values, while the rest will receive 4. If you fail to submit a score, you will get no points for that round.

This tournament starts right now. You can join in whenever you want, but you will start with 0 points. The rounds don't end. If you post a score for a round, you will be scored accordingly. There will be a new round every 3 days for the exception of the first round, which is over by now, so don't worry about it.

Donations would be extremely sexy, so please donate something so that the prizes can be gigantic making this tournament officially awesome. You'll get your name on this here post if you donate more than 5k. Under 5k donations (better?) are still great, I just don't want to flood the page with names.

Objective: Get as many Platinum medals as you can! I've checked the highscores and nobody in this tournament has even 1 platinum medal yet, so don't worry. If more than one person submits 10, it'll be first come, first serve for the 10 points. Guides are available if you need them. They are LEGAL in this tournament after all, I just haven't been very giving with games that have guides for them. Don't expect many guided games after this point.

I think the highest single shot is 15600, since I got that, and it is pretty even. Which makes the optimal score be 93600 + whatever the best bonus would be. Unless Tass has hit higher that 15600.

15600 Is the highest I've gotten from a single shot as well. Also, both of us have gotten a bonus of 1800 as you can tell from our screenies. This would make the max score around 95400 unless bonus can go higher.

Maybe I'll do a test or 2 and see what the highest bonus possible is...

EDIT: I just spam clicked until it shot every time, and got a bonus of 1800 still. So, I guess the max is 95400.

why would i want to motivate you? besides... there are no puzzles. therefore, it isn't my true specialty.... which is tournaments that involve both. i'm vulnerable in just flash games. haven't come close to losing in one that involves both. destroyed in omnipwn, both CTs, polymath, and fun/kjw's. fractal's was way too close for my liking. and i don't really remember what happened in house's... cause it sucked.

Flash games is just my way of saying assorted games on Kongregate. Everyone who's thinking about joining should join. This tournament isn't like some humdrum whore an FFR song tournament. I actually have some really fun games in store, what does it hurt? There's no fee to join, you don't have to be uber competitive, but if you want to be, you might win some credits.

I'm paying out to 6th place btw. There will be tiebreakers if needed. This tournament will go on until someone reaches 100 points. When that happens, it's over and I pay out.

i don't mean puzzle games. since there are a million walkthroughs for everyone of those... a 3 year old could beat the hardest puzzle flash game. i mean PUZZLES. like in the tournaments i listed.

and having it go until someone reaches x value isn't a very good way of running it... what if you have someone who wants to submit at the end, or gets to the event late but could compete still? yet they're blocked out randomly by someone who reaches 100 before they can? it's much easier to track for everyone if it's a set # of rounds. i'm assuming at least 10, given the 100 points for 1st.

edit: also, your wording is weird... you say round 1 ends on the 12th... does it actually END? or is it just that round 2 STARTS on the 12th/13th? aka, do the rounds actually end, or could i submit a round 1 score during round 6?

It ends. The scoring would be unfair if someone joins in off the street and starts getting 10 points on every round because there's no competition. The only reason I'm allowing people to come in at any time is just for the fun of the tournament. I'm not going to give a prize to someone who joined in round 5. I'm advertising this in my signature so that more people join and I'm giving people a week to get in with the leading group, its just like a normal tournament, except I'm just allowing people to join late.

Not to mention the amount of people complaining if someone came in and won the tournament after they joined in round 3.

so, my main issue is that i'm not at home and i'm stuck on a REALLY old computer at my dad's house. as such, i doubt i'm going to submit scores for this, since i just don't think i can be competitive on such a crappy computer. i'll try to chart my progress vs Commander... and will see how i do once i get back to Philly... but by that time, i'll have missed the 1st 3 rounds (assuming round 1 ends the 12th, 2 ends the 15th, and 3 ends the 18th).

The slower the turkey goes, the longer it will take to get points, but the easier it is to collect corn.

It sort of has a luck component, but it seems that the corn comes in little lines, some going upwards, some going downwards, if you can't find a line try raising your altitude at that point

True, but I actually launched myself pretty fast so that I could get to the corn faster, therefore keeping my bar higher, and also so I could reach the next corn line faster. It's really about finding the right angle, and then a lot of luck too.

Whoops. Ok, you see, I had a previous score of 1330m, and then I kept going and got a score of 1342m. I shot again thinking that was lower without taking a screenshot, then suddenly realized that I failed at math and proceeded to take this screenshot.
