Like I said multiple times, give me til October. At least. Even then, I don't know. I have college apps this year, and playing FFR is unfortunately one priority lower than college apps.

If you could write up a format that could make this list neater, by all means please do so.

I got rid of those mininames/numbers. -_-

Thank you very much foilman. I'll get on it once my room looks like a room. I guess I should just copy paste the entire list into one code for now, and I'll make it look better later.

Yet another thing to add to this thread: keyboard info (simultaneous register etc. based on manufacturer)

Hey ap19 I changed my style:

I have THREE hand styles, for different types of files.

Two hands - 4 fingers [spread](laptop) (← L middle, ↓ L Index, ↑ R index, → R middle) : For HARD KB files (especially those with jump streams). Accuracy is pretty low, but used for FCs. I barely use this style though.

Two hands - 3 fingers (laptop) (← L middle, ↓↑ L middle/L index/R middle, → R middle) : For easy KB files, pad files AND files with LOTS of streams (no jump streams though). Accuracy is high for MA/PA and FCs.

Index Middle Spread (over-responsive keyboards) (z x . /) : Only used when I play on over-responsive keyboards. Lower PA/MA than above, but easy to FC songs w/jump streams like 2 hands - 4 fingers. Not heavily favoured since it lacks in trills and running man.

So I use two hands four fingers now since it proved to be MUCH MORE useful in KB files. Notice I changed the order of what my style I normally play in.

Also added spread as another option I use when I use over-responsive keyboards.

Therefore add me to 2 hands 4 finger list. My new main handstyle.

you should call this spread, wolverine spread(when you use two hands but use one finger on one hand and three fingers on the other hand)
let me know what you think?

Xx{Midday}xX

Index Ring just got eliminated... <_>

ryan: I only need one pm. and Hammy coined Hybrid. Although that may sound generic in terms of naming, and may cause some confusion, I think Hybrid is fine. Until another hybrid spread comes along, it will stay Hybrid.

My up arrow key broke about a month and a half ago, and since then I've switched to using 4568 on the numpad:

Well, the way I put it is that I play with a wide spread layout.
Q= right
W= up
7(on the number pad)= down
8(on the number pad)= left
All my keys are inverted and the arrows come at you going down.
Then I rotate my screen using iRotate(use Google to find out what that is) 180 degrees.
Why you may ask I do this? It's kind of like a memory refresher and changes all of the algorithms to sometimes easier methods.

Hey guys, sorry to break to you, but Midday won't be updating the list anymore. He pretty much left after he closed his profile =/.

You guys may continue to post I guess...won't mean much though.
Awww...

Anyway, "OneHand Fourfinger, Wide--Lefty"
ChiefOlukOneHand (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/profile/ChiefOlukOneHand/) - a d t j (L pinky, L ring, L middle, L index)

Funny thing is, I'm a righty. I figured playing lefty would be more of a challenge. And I didn't want my fourth finger to feel lonely (sorry Threefinger traditionalists).

I'm still playing the classic one-handed three-fingered arrow keys. Makes mashing crazy hard (since I can't quad mash)...but I don't plan on changing my handstyle for a while.

Not too long ago, I stared using two setups. Along with the one already listed, I now play Index-Ring Spread, too, especially on SM. It's easier to switch between Single and Solo that way. You can add this one, too, please, whenever you get to updating again.

I use The arrow keys and AIKL. Since my keyboard can't hit certain hand combines, I switch between the two.

Left/A = Left index and/or middle
Right/l = Right ring finger
Up/I = Right middle finger
Down/K = Right index

This is the way I've played ever since I started playing R2, then I moved to stepmania, and FFR. Now I play all three! R2 is the first simulation I've ever played, and I still play it to this day. In my opinion the simfiles are more fun. Even though they are limited. Don't see why you stopped R2. Have a song addition system like R1 then maybe it could be a success, and you'll have online DDR. Plus, it has holds.

Occasionally switch to just middle fingers on difficult one handed trills.

Strange. I'm the only person on the site who uses E R U I as a hand setup. 2 Hand 4 Finger.

I just tried it, and my left knuckle feels like it's going to pop out trying to play like that.

The only position that is comfortable for my left hand is [n m num2 num6] with the left side of the keyboard slanted away from me.

My hands are poorly constructed.

Funny I used to use num2 and num6 the same way as you =p
Does that mean up and down are reversed for you as well as opposed to say..askl being 1234? If you know what I mean of course O.o

Anyway I now use

s x -mid index// (dash on numpad) and num2- middle and index

Nope, I use my right ring finger, and I can't go without it!

Up until very recently, I played entirely with the arrow keys (not the numpad ones). My setup is this:

left arrow: left middle finger
down arrow: left index finger
up arrow: right middle finger
right arrow: right ring finger

I play on my laptop more often now, and the arrow keys are too small, so I have to use spread instead. Even with spread, I use my right ring finger. It works pretty well for me.

I do Q W and O P w/ index and middle fingers, used to be 1 2 and 9 0 but I would always hit the windows key and bring up my start menu

Now changed to

Left hand
Middle finger - Z
Index finger - X

Right Hand
number pad
Index Finger - 1
Middle Finger - 2

I've actually switched I think from my last post in this thread if I have posted.

I now play SD OP (Left Down, Up Right)

And I play semi pent spread

In fact I thought a night or two ago when I was recording videos to just record my hands as I played. I'm working on sorting through my videos and I'm uploading them tonight. So I'll post them when I do.
