Song Completion Percentage

I think it would be a good idea for there to be a little bar while you play that tells you how far you are getting in a song, via percentage. This way, when you are playing a longer song and you are getting to the point where you are just praying for then end, or think you are at the end and lose your whole combo when you realize there are more notes, you can glance at the percentage bar and know you aren't there yet. Discuss?

A duration bar that slowly filled would probably be the most useful and visually appealing way to do this, and shoudln't be too hard to code.

Some stepcharts tend to catch people offguard... though I don't see that problem in FFR as of yet.

Knowing how much of the song is left may give you anxiety, but it also may give you the confidence/will to finish the song in perfection.

There are many songs where knowing the end is near gives me just a bit more to FC it, whereas the songs I don't know the ending to make me uneasy and make the song seem to last forever, causing me to care less. This results in misses.

I suggested awhile back that it told you the max combo in a song before it started next to how long the song was. Might be similar to this.

I support this more. Sometimes I will go find the Song difficulty list on a long song just so I know how long I have left, but having to find that list every so often is a hassle. I really doubt it's hard to show one extra variable right under song length.

+1. It's good for songs you've never played too. The only downside is that it could distract you and break your combo/AAA.

I'm guessing its going to be something like ITG, they have a song length bar up near the top, which takes place for the health bar. The health bar is down at the side, weird.

As long as you are given the ability to toggle it on in off in your settings i would see no problem with this. Ive played most of the songs long enough that i pretty much know all the parts that catch people offgaurd but some of the newer group could use this.

Well, I've been away for so long that some of these songs are completely new to me. I still haven't even gotten around to most of them.
