[Oh, and Spoiler Warning too.]

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a confession to make.
I think I could consider myself a pretty good fan of The Matrix. I've seen my fair share of it, and I've even taked a peek or two at that Matrix video game, (just for the plot, I swear) and a peek at that MMORPG of the Matrix that was doomed to fail.
But, you see, until last night, I had seen everything except the final chapter: The Matrix Revolutions.

I gotta say, when I started the movie, I was expecting something sub-par or par. You see, all these people on the internet were giving out all these reasons on why Revolutions sucked, and being the believing person (and thus horrible Werewolf Game player) I am, I put my trust into the word of the internet. So I was expecting a movie that would be cool, but not living up to it's great reputation. In other words, another Matrix Reloaded.

When the movie ended, I was filled with this strange, alien emotion that I had not felt in a long time. Perhap you people call it something else, but I like to call it "anger." Realizing this "anger" might be an issue, I decided to vent it in a productive way: This thread. Let's get started, shall we?

To All Those Who Said The Dialogue Was Too Vague Or Whatever
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/7280/fu18vk.jpg
Even you, Maddox. But you're still okay, because I would expect that from you. I suppose some people just don't like their dialogue to be open to interpretation or to have double-meanings.

To All Those Who Said The Ending Sucked Balls
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2293/fu22rd.jpg
Really, it was. It provided pretty visuals, closure as to what would happen, and you got to watch The Matrix get "reset," which I always find cool when I get to see the green code.

To All Those Who Said The Wachowski Brothers Messed Up
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/8940/fu31tu.jpg
Was it perfect? Of course not. Nothing ever is. But damn dude, the people who whined about the "Jesus metaphor" being too obvious need a slap upside the head. I was expecting it to be shoved down my throat. Instead, I get a small line here, a familiar pose there, and that's it. As for the movie in general, they did a very great job in showing thier concepts and ideas of how the worlds are, and greatly expanded the setting from the original movie (Introducting things like programs in love, APUs, and Seraph's backstory).

To All Those Who Said The Neo Vs Smith Battle Looked Like DBZ
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/8118/fu41aw.jpg
No, dumbass, it didn't look like DBZ. It looked like fighting in the air. It looked like an epic clash of Good versus Evil. It looked like a ****ing great final showdown. (And I was very pleased with the way Neo finally destroys Smith. It was very clever and poetic.)

And finally...

To All Those That Whined About There Only Being 3 Action Sequences
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2277/gg6pf.jpg
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5232/jk3ii.jpg
If you thought there were only 3 action sequences, maybe you have some kind of Retarded version of ADD, where you get easily distracted by boring things, and you saw something boring going on during the movie that swept your attention away from it.
If you have this symptom, you may be suffering from RADD. Please contact your doctor AND ASK FOR SOME ****ING MEDICATION TO TREAT IT.

Oh, and the acting? Yeah, it wasn't that great. It wasn't "Godfather Part 3" acting. But it was believable, and that's really all I ask of actors.
I thought the movie was very well done, and alot better than Reloaded, in both plot and action scenes. My favorite part was when Neo and Trinity shoot up above the clouds and Trinity gets to see the sun for one brief moment. That's when I decided, for sure, that the movie was brilliant and everyone was wrong.

Well, I think I've gotten everything off my chest. I certainly feel much better. Oh, wait, I do feel a bit of "anger" still left, I'll just get rid of it really quickly.

Internet, **** you.

M'kay, I'm done. =D

Since you didn't like Revolutions, here is a dubbed version that you might consider watching.

Hey, I liked Revolutions too. People just don't know how to suspend their disbelief.

Or something.

the compelling part of the first was the sense that we were following only neo around. the directors really lost sight of that in 2 and 3 and it ruined the feel of the movie. But then again they didn't have their comic books to work from anymore, which is what made the cinematography so good in the first.

ok I'm going to stop now before I get too heated about the failure of the matrix series.

Omega, I agree completely. I believe that they handled it exellently, especially considering how many things they could have ****ed up.

Same idea with Revenge of the Sith. Lots of people I talked to didn't like it. I think that was handled well as well.

PS HOLY ****. That flash was funny as hell.

The thing that pissed me off was the whole Frankenvader thing. The whole way he busted out of his table and moved like he had no joints and then a big yell... seriously, I couldn't help but laugh. That one scene isn't enough to ruin the movie, though. I liked Revenge of the Sith.

Anyway, I have yet to see Revolutions. I didn't really care for the first Matrix, though. I think the whole philosophy the movie was preaching was really, really stupid. My personal opinion.

Omega rules. I too agree Revolutions was amazing, and for everyone that whined, they're just n$#$*.

Revolutions sucked.... my opinion: Omega just got all the bad hype that the movie deserved, then saw the movie and compared to the terrible hype, he felt it wasn't as bad. Had he seen it before all the terrible hype, I feel Omega would be with the majority in knowing how bad this movie was.

Tass, it seems that the majority here liked Revolutions. And since the FFR forums are comprised chiefly of really smart people (or people that lie and claim to have 130+ IQs), I'd say that the "majority" that didn't like the movie is retarded and isn't worthy of having an opinion on this movie.

PS In saying that the people who didn't like the movie are retarded and unworthy of having an opinion, I am not including those people with brains that didn't like the movie simply because it wasn't AWESOME OMG LET'S SPAZ OUT like the first one.

Best parts of the movie:

1) Hearing Merv say things that sound funny with his goofy French accent.
2) When Neo has his super-vision on, and he looks at his feet while walking to the Source. I said to myself, "Whoa, awesome, it's the Golden Path!" because I had just finished Children of Dune a week ago.
3) Those guys that have a shoot-out with Morpheus, Trinity and Seraph were way too cool for school. Especially the guy that had the gas mask on. Too bad Seraph was even cooler than they were.
4) The whole scene where Neo and that one guy talk about Love and Karma. I thought that was the second best part, next to when Trinity sees the Sun.
5) Captain Mifule (or whatever) making his last stand. I think everyone liked that part.
6) The setinels are flying away from the Temple, and Morpheus says "I've seen this in a dream....Is this real?" That was an awesome play on words.
7) The part of the final battle where Neo and Smith are in that room, and you watch them kick and punch and block in slow motion. It was a grand moment.
8) And, of course, when Neo and Trinity go from being in dark, cloudy, dangerous skies to being on top of white, beautiful clouds with the bright sun shining gloriously. I was like, "See, now THAT'S imagery. That's the reason this movie can't be put in novel form and still do justice."

Whoa.

It's a good thing you're cool with me Omega. A lot of other people who would have tried to pull something like this off would be getting their topics 'Binned.

Revo was alright. I don't think it was the best way to conclude the series, but it was an effective way to go about it.

ugh but the writing, the story... if you lower your standards this movie was fine but damn, come on now. Sequels have to live up the original or they shouldn't be made.

If you're using stereotypical action sci-fi ideas and dialogue, there's a fine line between corny and badass and the wachowskis crossed it the wrong way in the second and third movies.

I'm not denying that Revolutions could have been better, but what would you rather have, a movie with sequels that weren't as awesome as the first, or the first part of a trilogy just left completely unfinished?

PS: If you liked that movie that Snapps posted, go to Newgrounds.com and check out Knox's full series of Matrix dubbing.

I kinda would have rather had it left at just The Matrix.

Yes, it works as a trilogy, but the 2nd and 3rd movies just never lived up to the true awesomeness of the 1st. Nobody quotes the 2nd or 3rd... everyone quotes the 1st.

And, uh... just remember. There is no spoon.

pumble the first movie stands alone very well. I remember when I heard there was going to be sequels I was like "wtf I bet they'll be lame." There's just nothing left to discover, no more fresh ideas with the whole reality vs illusion thing, just more exploration of what was originally presented.

And I don't think I can stress enough how important point of view was in the first movie. The audience was with neo every step of the way in that one, in the second and third it shifted too much between characters. 3rd person limited >>>>> 3rd person omniscient in this case.

I actually thought Revolutions was better than Reloaded even though it didn't have alot of fighting. My best parts from the movie are:

1. When Smith had the Oracle surrounded.
Oracle- "You're a bastard."
Smith- "You would know, Mom."

2. When Mouse announced that the war was over and Morpheus was talking to Niobe.
Niobe- " Neo, wherever you are, thank you."

That part made me cry. :(

3. When Smith was explaining the reasons Neo should stop fighting.
Smith- "WHY MR. ANDERSON!? WHY!? WHY DO YOU PERSIST!?"
Neo- "Because I choose to."

Very bad ass. 8)

The only good thing about Matrix: Revolutions is that after you finish watching it, you know you dont have to worry about another horrible sequel.

I'm kidding though, I liked the movie. It wasnt the best, but it wasn't terrible. I would have liked to have seen it in the theaters though.
