Yay! I got 2nd place on my third try. I don't liek the part where all the notes get equidistant, because some places its just going back and forth between two notes for a while, rather than moving all over the place like a regular stream. That be my 2 cents.

Geez...the jumps in those streams sort of reminded me of Silence. >_< 450K first try, 600-some perfects. Yeah, I suck.

Also, I think this file suffers the same problem as L3...too many jumps. More stream and less air would make it a lot better, in my opinion.

I agree, too many jumps ruin the song, and this one almost got ruined. If it wasn't for the great tune and cool streams between the jumps, I wouldn't have liked this stepfile at all. But the simple rhythms and beats around the crammed jumps kept me happy.

I <3 streams a lot, and I'm not so big on the jumps, but that is part of FFR so they are still okay. The song was pretty sweet but I haven't played in awhile, boy my fingers are out of shape.

The song is amazing, I love it. The steps were pretty good but I didn't like all of the jumps. Especially the jumps that started a small 16th burst. If you took all of those out, then I'd love it even more.

Meh, I'm gonna be the first to say I wasn't suprised with this song. For one all of Zero Fuser's songs rock. If Epic is any indication, I'm expecting songs such as Freedom Fighters Revolution, Gradius, and his other songs to make an appearance on FFR sometime soon. The reason why i know this is because I had every single song he ever made on my hard drive about 4 months ago.

Rats...I really wanted Omegix to revise this one a little before it went live. Maybe a V2 of it should be expected in 3rd Style...most of the song is great but I really don't like the loljumps at the beginning.

Some of the songs for 3rd have already been steped. We aren't doing another contest, but we are going to approach certain people to step certain files.

I'd still like it if in someway you can post about what song is next, and we go ahead and make steps for it. I guess who ever makes it the best gets it in. Sounds corny, yes.

No, it's because we're a) dealing with volunteers and b) have a quota to reach (for song of the week.) We take what we can get, essentially...the new "mix system" will prevent a great deal of that and raise the average quality of each simfile.

As I said, I wasn't 100% happy with Epic. More like 75% happy.

I'd have to agree. The problem is that having a submissions forum appears not to work out. Basically, I haven't seen a song ever go through there into the game for a long while. I don't think anyone even looks at the forum anymore, the threads don't get any replies or anything like that.

I think there should be a more fair way of submitting songs, other than having credentials and collaborating behind the scenes with admins
Just because someone doesn't consistently use the forums doesn't mean they can't whip up a good Stepfile. But that seems to be the thinking used when the last few songs got in. For Example, I've been here for a long time, consistently playing the game, but I haven't become an active member in the community until like last month. Heh, I just noticed my first post was on the same day as Snapps. Anyway, some stuff is just getting blown off without a look, and I think things should change.

Songs or requests. We can never request, we can never submit. I don't understand this system.

You email us, say "Hey, I wanna step a file". If we are familiar with your quality of steps, we'll give you a list of songs that need stepping. If we've never played anything by you, we might ask for some sample files of previous work.
