I third this. I've only met one FFR person before as well, and I agree that (FFR people) > (almost everybody else). yeah, my hearing's a bit better today, still not 100% though lmao the venue was like, the exact same place i had my high school dances...same floor, room, everything...they just added a stage and a bar at the very back, it was really bad haha I would've loved to have seen them at the sound academy again, have you been there? it's by far the best venue I've ever been to...one main stage and one off to the side in another room, a lounge area, two bars (one where you can grab food as well), and a VIP section directly above the main stage...but I'm usually not willing to drive all the way to toronto unless it's a really good show haha
haha that hamilton thing's hilarious, you'd think they'd know which city they're in at the moment lol and yeah, they played blindness close to the end of their set...I'm actually kinda surprised that they hadn't played it live prior to that because I'm a huge fan of their down-tempo stuff, but I guess I'm not all that surprised since I've seen them three times now and they've yet to play my two favourite songs off LiO (police and the private, ending start) I guess they like keeping things upbeat haha I'm kinda worried though, me and my friends ended up right next to one of the speakers and the hearing in my left ear is still kinda shot...I'm really hoping there wasn't any permanent damage done or anything (but for emily, I think it's somewhat worth it)
oh that's sick haha yeah, I saw them last night with the stills, they played a fucking brilliant set, plus I was pushing against the front rail and was about three feet away from emily the entire time ;o ...my ears are still ringing lol they encored with a huge acoustic singalong combat baby, it was beautiful :')
