I'm done with this bullshit
Posted on: December 7, 2008, at 07:57:22pm

After seeing the staff favoritism with KgZ's birthday (when I barely got a few comments for mine) and Tass offering to sell KgZ's CD right in the fucking results thread, I'm making the choice right here and right now.

I'm fucking done with this bullshit. All of it. I'm done being unappreciated by the admins and having my music being called "not steppable." I miss the days of SpinItUp, when there were no bullshit standards of what makes a good song and what makes a good file. I'm tired of seeing my efforts squandered with every song I make. I strive for excellence when it comes to music, not simply to make myself a better musician,
but to make myself more appealing to FFR as well. I suppose all this hasn't worked.

I suppose at this point I'm succumbing to mere jealousy. Those who know me well enough
know that I'm a pretty easy going guy, and it takes quite a bit to make me pissed off.

Well, it's been quite a bit.

All my music is now on temporary suspension from FFR and all related sites. Love and the songs in SpinItUp may stay in the game. All other material, including collaboration tracks between KgZ and myself, are off limits as of now. I am open to appeals.

I am not simply doing this for myself, but for all the other potential music artists of FFR who have had their dreams of being placed into the game squandered by "standards."

  1. (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/?p=1083#comments) Comment #37. T_T

  2. Hey man, your music is really good. Don't stop on that note. /not begging
You have talent, don't waste it :3.
PS, make an album and go to tass, see what he says then?

  3. ummm Tass offered a support token?

  4. Did you even read your own thread in Musician's Jungle Gym? I offered right there to do an album for you.
And, people come to me and say "Hey, it's KgZ's birthday... you gotta do a song for him!" So I do. Nobody did that for you, sorry. Not to mention, he has more of his songs in-game and in-queue than you. None of these things are my fault, and trying to blame other people for your lack of success compared to KgZ is just an excuse. KgZ (if he's your base of comparison) spends time to talk to the simfile guys and ask them to step his stuff (i think)... just leaving your music out there isn't always good enough.
It's also a bit hypocritical of you to say all this and pull your permission. It would seem that the logical thing would be to say all this and then request for more people to step your stuff. Since that IS your goal.
Whatever man... you do what you want. No sweat off my back. But don't go accusing me or anything else because of your lack of proactivity or

  5. okay i stopped stepping the three songs i was stepping by you

  6. Any music is steppable, but if under the opinion of the stepartist they cannot make a fun file out of a certain song or genre, they will choose not to step that song or genre. Some stepartists can pull off more than others, but the majority have a certain similar level of comfort zone when it comes to stepping songs. Virtually all of KgZ's tracks (just to base off your comparison) satisfy that comfort zone for all steppers while very few of your songs do for very few people. Most of your songs although not boring themselves would make boring files in the eyes of most stepartists (i.e. most stepartists follow a similar style for stepping all songs) . Why not step your songs yourself first and if people think the file is amazing, maybe the will adopt a similar technique. Until then, don't get mad because people aren't shitting out simfiles for your songs like KgZ's.
An experiment where you could truly and justifiably get angry would be to have KgZ make some more songs, except use

  7. continuation ...
your name and/or the other way around. If KgZ's songs do not get stepped under your name, but your songs do get stepped under KgZ's name, then there is a problem.

  8. Hey, I just hope you still allow the 3020 in game since it's ququed and a collab between me and blu :/. Also I hope you think about this again and let us use your music again.

  9. Oh man, nobody told me about this. I feel kind of bad that you have to compare me like this, because I thought we were tight. I guess I can't say too much though, because it would make me look like a tool.
As for other musicians, I find that hard to believe. There are plenty of upcoming musicians growing in the FFR field. Championanwar is a fresh artist, as well as Cyanite and DjAirWave. Also, you should check the queue threads from time to time. Sometimes people will step your music, but it won't get in-game. And even if it doesn't get in, I'm always glad that someone even tried in the first place.
Well anyways, you know I would always be up for any future works with you, and best of luck to you in the future. Take care brah.
