Is concentrating a bad thing when playing to FFR? I'm starting to wonder...

In my case at least. I'm not a very good FFR player, true. But I try to practice myself with songs I have problems with, and I usually do concentrate a lot when trying to get the difficult parts...

But I always do at least one stupid mistake, and always get frustrated in the end. >_<

But then, anytime I simply play because I have nothing else to do, I actually get better scores. Because, as stupid as it may sound, I don't concentrate on the steps...

One of my friend plays FFR with only three fingers!
She uses her middle one to push on both the up and down arrows. (Wich kinda slow her a bit, but she has become skilled like that.)

And guess what? She actually play better like that than me with my four fingers. (Not that it's really hard to outdo me)
