Notes: I believe this is a fair placement as far as some of my FGO scores go. If I didn't submit those scores, however, it would've been possible I'd be in D4 right now. Sadly, I'd probably get moved or in trouble for sandbagging. I'll be happy if I can make it past Round 3.

My friends have been extremely supportive of me in this tournament and continue to rip on me every time I need to improve. Without that motivation, I definitely wouldn't be as far as round 6.

Round 1: Retro City (3-0-0-0)
Awesome song - file really irritated me, but not due to technicality. The file is very well stepped and the notes are fitting, I just don't like it for my play style. Razor really did a good job on this - although it really drove me nuts.

Round 2: Oops (2-0-0-0)
Fun file, I loved it! I have the AAA outside of the tournament, but I got the 2 goods on my best run outside the ending and in one of the easier parts. Definitely a little disappointed in my ability here.

Round 3: Undiscovered Colors (BF)
Wow. The last 100 notes, I got the stupidest good as well. I believe cutoff is going to be 2-0-0-0 or 1-0-0-x. Almost certain that my BF will get me through to the next round.
Good job Halogen, I really liked this file - it keeps you on your toes. I started off with an extremely rough 18 good run because I thought it was off sync, I switched engines and pulled my blackflag out.

Round 4: Sleep (BF)
FUCCCCC WHAT A BAD GOOD
This tune is really catchy. I wish I didn't get that good, but considering ill be busy tonight - it's nice to be safe (presumably) to advance to the next round. Alloyus, props to you - this is a file I will play over and over again after the tournament - although I have blackflagged this 10 or 11 times now. Best file of the tournament.

Round 5: Crow's Ghost (3-1-2-2)

Really fun file - could've gotten a miss flag if I didn't choke at the ending. Had fun.

This file was meh - I really didn't like it and thought it was just obnoxious. Was absolutely freaking out when I pulled my 3 clean run and told my friends that I think it was going to be the best score. Wartime came and supped me with a blackflag, but I was really proud to have SDG'd an FGO.

Round 7: Lawn Wake XI (13-0-1-3)

The worst file of the tournament is awarded to Lawn Wake XI. It was absolutely awful to trudge through it and I did not like how the patterns transitioned. It felt awkward and due to this I really couldn't score higher. Oddly enough, this was the top score of the round, but that's probably due to the fact my competitors couldn't hit those awful patterns.

Round 8: Playing Super Mario World While Taking Shrooms (37-2-4-12)
Scintill really outdid himself on this file - extremely hard and fast paced but the fun factor was through the roof. I could've improved if my hand wasn't injured (low 20's FC) but I was in a lot of pain and really just tried to squeak by. Won by 30 points because it seemed that mirror_eclipse and d4u both had some issues to work out as well. Round 8 was basically a very quiet round and all of us were neck and neck. I'm sure that mirror would've been the one to beat my score had it not been for issues happening around that time.

Well, we finished and I did come in first - by 30 points. I'm definitely stoked to win that T-shirt, and I'm really happy with the skillboosting that went on during the tournament. Congratulations to the other competitors and people who made it past their goals. Also shoutouts to mirror_edicks, mirror_eshits, mirror_esticks or whatever you call him for being pretty chill.

I was placed in D4 of psychoangel691's Nostalgia Tournament. Pretty much expected D3 or D4 for this.

Round 1: Legendary Etude (AAA)
Took me 4 tries to get this bad boy down. Started off with a good MA run but 1-0-1-0 because of the ending burst. Second run followed with a 2-0-0-0. Third run saw me nail a blackflag. Gotta hate grace notes :P

Finally, after losing MA and patience, I AAA'd it on my fourth try. Luckily early because I probably would've ragequit that song. First in D4 to AAA and guarantees me safe for the round. I'll be content for now.

Round 2: Jelly Roll Blues (AAA)
This file is absolutely awful and I hate the trills in it. It makes me cringe every time.

I'll be shocked if I can beat 4g.
EDIT: Dat mindblock will kill anyone.
Anyone who needs to do the file - emphasize the first quarter note in every trill, you'll nail the file down perfectly. On to round 3.

Round 3: Classical Insanity (5-0-0-0)
I can AAA this file, but I'm not in any mood to. Whatever.

Round 4: Hero's Theme (w.i.p) (AAA)
Took me sooooo long - started with 9 goods, down to 6, and then multiple 2g runs. The ending rhythm was very hard to get down and I still don't know how well I hit it - but I just lowered my speed mod and looked right at the arrows on the top to make sure they wouldn't drop a good. Glad to see it worked.

Round 5: Southern Cross (4-0-0-0)
Definitely my best score on the song, but I was panicking because I thought I couldn't get this score. I believe I'll be moving on to the next round.

Final Round: Midnight Dragon (BF)
Still working on it. Doubt I'll get better scores. BF'd it three times now. Waiting on popsicle now.

I came in 1st place! 80,000 credits was my prize :)
