Official FFR Tournament 14: Division 5 Progress

Extremely late in making one of these, as it's now round 6 haha. But since this is the best I have ever done in an FFR tourney, mind as well document the experience!

Round 1: THE BADDEST (AAA)
Took a few tries, but I got the AAA. Nothing too hard about it, just dumped random goods in random areas in every play. Not too shabby of a start.

Round 2: Gym Leader Battle Music [Hi Tech Remix] (2-0-0-3)
Hahaha, I got sick this week... pretty bad cold. Thought it was covid! Pushed me to get the shot finally though... Pulled through in one session with this score. Couldn't improve this one because I was just not 100% that week, but 2-0-0-3 was safe, so.... we take those lol

Round 3: Traveler ~Stand Aloof~ [Heavy] (1-0-0-1)
Started feeling a bit better! Can play again without coughing out a quarter of my lungs and insane chills all over my body in the summer weather... but Ill be damned if I can't fuckin AAA this chart! Think I played this one the most for this tournament. Oh well, still safe. Next round!

Round 4: Lucid Bass II (Blackflag)
PHYNX! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TIED! WHY DID YOU AAA LOL. This was a fun one, but once again the FFR gods bestowed upon me shitty hands to sabotage my quest to perfection.

Round 5: Tuberculosis (1-0-0-2)

TOP 8 BABY! Goddamn double taps though... Would have been fine with a blackflag if that weren't the case. Some pretty tricky parts in this one. Know for fact I can AAA this, but at this point, Im only going to tryhard when I need to, and I know its coming.

Round 6: Daraku no Sono (10-0-0-1)
...It came lol. Sloppy FC on a sightread, massive struggle to clean it up somewhat. The first bursts and jacks are what gave me the most goods. Would have been SDG if I didnt good one of the very last notes... that burst at the end is pretty tough to nail. Not going for SDG unless I have to or I just get it during a good session. Until then, Ill stay in 1st place I guess(??????????)

Round 7: Masodik Galamb (2-0-0-1)
Man what the fuck lol. Thought this would be an easy AAA.., it is not. Or I just had bad sessions every time I tried to improve this score. A lot of the bursts I got, but since its such a long song, keeping consistency is difficult. Been my problem for years, but Im still happy I got this score.... Velo though lol, AAAs it in 5 tries. MADMAN!

Final Round: Paradoxical time leap trial (2nd Place!)
What an amazing experience. I have played this game for over 14 years, and not only is this the best I have performed here to date, but I ended up befriending a few people that's been here just as long as I have lol. Phynx, you were ridiculous dude! Congratulations! I seriously wish I had more time to play haha... blows my mind you took a day off for this shit lmfao! Velo, you were fucking scary dude you had me sweating the entire time, especially round 7. Lights, Goldstinger, Ally, aperson, revo, Flynnmac, and all you cats I chatted with in the VC on Discord, thank you for being such cool people! I had a blast this year!

   Okay brother. I don't think "GG" is appropriate here. Round 8 was so fucking wild playing against you. I can't express how proud I am of having you and Velocity as my finalist opponents. You sir, are a God in this game to me and I love you for it. I might have lucked out and won but brother, you're a king and I want you to feel proud of where you got. We both fought hard through these 8 weeks and I couldn't be more proud of us.
   More than GG brother, it was a rollercoaster and one hell of a ride. Thank you for being the biggest reason for me to push like it was the last thing I could do in life. You were my biggest fear and my biggest inspiration. I love you for that and I hope going forward, the two of us can be hella tight friends. You're a kick ass dude and I'm hoping we can continue to be rivals and friends after this. :D <3
