okay im not understanding this meta of not taking claims seriously. i need to think on this over dinner and a nice long drive. i'm still 100% taking xiz's claim seriously and i think desp isnt that useless. can give us confirm towns as well and make the lynch pool odd to avoid 4 way mylos.

In a wild and chaotic setup just as this, I feel like any claim near the beginning of D0 is purely suspect and probably bullshit. At this point in time, there's no way to reliably counter-claim anybody's role with zero people dead and no observable night interactions/results.

The legitimacy of Xiz's claim is still TBD, but as a fake claimer, would you really want to claim something that is a 2-shot? It's much easier to get away with a 1-shot claim than it is a 2-shot, considering the scenarios for gaining 2-shots are a bit difficult.

Scenarios for gaining a 2-shot role:
-You choose a role and two people voted for you. Nobody else chose the same role and received a vote.
-You choose a role and two people voted for you. One other person selected that role and also received two votes. Nobody else chose the same role and received a SINGLE vote. (if someone were to choose this role and receive a single vote, the people who received double votes would be fucked)

For a role like Desperado, I see the chances of the first scenario to be extremely limited because we have some crazy players in this game who want to be badasses and tote guns. Choosing this role is also more than likely a town move, as the benefits to a wolf are quite limited.

As for what this means for Xiz: his claim is more than likely bullshit from my perspective (as explained above). As to his actual role, it's purely speculation. For his alignment, I'm kinda suspicious. It's not enough to warrant a vote at this point in time, but it paints him as slightly red for me.
