Your opinion was quite matter-of-factly, in his defense. However, that certainly doesn't merit a response implicating that he's incapable of playing hard files -- both of you guys need to knock it off.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
I know, it's something that I hate about myself, I'm very matter-of-factly as you state and I usually post replies and opinions based on emotion and without thinking about stuff. And honestly, the last thing I want to do is cause drama or anything like that, I absolutely hate conflict lol. Just that response was kinda un-necessary. Sorry AJ and sorry L.B.D.D aswell, no hard feelings heh! XP

because it is my opinion and many others' that it is, in fact, not overstepped whatsoever; actually it could have reasonably been stepped even more difficultly. |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
Just letting you know, the ending JS is exactly like the other JS sections in the file. If that's what you were referring to by ending, haha.

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
No one is going to give you a ban for speaking your mind -- that is absurd. You're speaking your opinion about a file, and you're not outright calling it bad or being rude to the stepartist in the process.
I will support the fact that the jumpstreams are somewhat rigid; there are some mini-trills in the patterns, and of course the ending forces one-handed mini-trills to get into and out of the triples mid-stream. It could have definitely been worse, though! Quote:
There's actually triples for synth accents at the end. |

I didn't find any of the patterns awkward, but how awkward certain patterns are isn't relevant to something being overstepped. Overstepped/ovlerayered/overcharted means there were more notes/layers put into the file than the song called for per its intensity/sound. On a different matter, "awkward" or "dickish" is synonymous with "a pattern that requires a high level of control". This is NOT synonymous with "bad". There is absolutely no such thing as a bad pattern. It just means some difficulty in the file originates from the pattern selection, and the pattern selection can be based on several things such as pitch in the music or in some cases can just be freely chosen (like in percussion). |

Re: 9th Official Tournament -- Round 4
Looking at an image of the chart, the third jumpstream looks substantially harder to me too.
I think the reason why the third jumpstream is the hardest is linked to the fact that there are a LOT of repeated 8th note interval taps, which keeps your hands from actually moving fluently. Many staircases or short anchored patterns... EDIT: enough, Anaru -- next instance will result in an infraction/ban - stop instigating, please EDIT #2: noob Anaru -- a jump every two beats, not a jump every two measures, noob noob noob noob n00b newb, n3wb etc EDIT: I saw that, Zyph |
