Separate partitions on OSX
Just a simple/stupid question really. If I add a second partition to my HD and install OSX Yosemite on it, can I still access the files on the main partition while using the additional partition?
Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Separate partitions on OSX
Yes it will depend on how the permissions are set up, which I assume can be done after setup. Since root access to other OSX drives will probably be locked, you will likely be able to work around it with non-system read or read/write access.
My recommendation would be to create a third partition without installing OSX on it to store the files you wish to transfer. Otherwise, google will be helpful in this matter.
