Half-Screen Play?
Hey everyone! I was just wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are to viewing only half of the screen while you play. I've seen people on youtube playing like this and AAAing extremely hard songs.

Speed mods are the same thing practically. Check them out, and screencutting is pretty good.

Re: Half-Screen Play?
screencutting is what people used to simulate higher speed mods before speed mods were available on FFR. by having less time to react, it makes it feel like the arrows are moving faster. also, you see less arrows at once, making it easier to focus on those few arrows.
few people use screencutting anymore, because of speed mods. people find it easier to read the arrows on a higher speed mod vs a low speed mod + screencut. personally, i still screencut.

Re: Half-Screen Play?
Wow this thread made me feel a bit old.
"Grandpa, why is that man playing with half a screen?" "Well ya see sonny, back in the day before speed mods, people used to screen shrink to simulate them." "There was a time before speed mods? Wooooowwwwwww...." I peronally still screen shrink too. Oldschool screencutters ftw! PS - This thread shouldn't be in the Permissions subforum |
