Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
FOTBB is Masters because most of the song is trills and you get average misses like heck if your not fast enough to do it.
For FFR is Very Challenging because the ending is hard to PA and the song is random as well. PLANETZ is interesting to say as to if it is a high 10 or low 11. The 4 framers do make it more difficult to PA and keep the combo going and some of the jumps, like the alteranting 2/6 2/8 ones are tough. I think PLANETZ could go for a low 11 IMO.

It's easier than State of Emergency too. Only thing I find hard are the jumptrills and the end, everything else is pretty easily doable.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I dunno, thats only certain parts, and to me the stream in the middle just seems like more of a "challenging" stream, beacause its fairly short, and you can actually kind of see it, unlike in VC, masters only and gurus only for me. Maybe im wrong though, as im not as good a player as some.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
75 (S) For FFR (866 Notes / BPM 180)
(LOWEST PLANETZ COULD BE) 76 76 (M) Jelly Roll Blues (778 Notes / BPM 144) 76 (D2) Nova Pulser (762 Notes / BPM 180)[*] ------------------------------------------- 77 (P) Silence (1482 Notes / BPM 140) 77 (D2) Vertex BETA (1755 Notes / BPM 200) (HIGHEST PLANETZ COULD BE) 77 77 (S) K8107 (1071 Notes / BPM 180) PLANETZ has lots of 4 framers (70something), but for me, a person who ha s been whoring PLANETZ to FC, the hardest parts to hit, combo, or PA are: -The jumptrill at 31 combo -This REALLY awkward pattern: --oo ---o --oo ---o --oo ---o -This even more awkward pattern: -o-o ---o --oo ---o --oo ---o --oo ---o -o-o ---o --oo ---o The beginning is also really deceptive. It looks really easy, like the rest of the song will be 8th notes or something, but holds your suspense by making you bored. THen just when you're about to think "I can AAA this cake", the jumptrills attack, and those unprepared will quickly mash their doom out. So in my opinion, PLANETZ is right before Silence because Silence is a 2-minutes of jumpstream. Nova Pulser's streams are too easy to warrant it harder than PLANETZ. Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I dont know if this has been mentioned before, but Tetris remix should not be a very diff, it should be a diff. Its by far the easiest very diff ive played. Also there are many diff songs that are way harder.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I agree with moches. Especially for me, any fast or awkward patterns with the right side are a major challenge. I have a weaker right hand, I tend to observe the left side of the screen more closely than the right, and I use 4 finger set up.

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Well yeah, but it does need to add a factor to the difficulty, even if it's only a factor for 25% of players.
We can't very well have completely separate level ranks based on whether you play 2, 3, 4 fingers, arrows, numpads, or spread, indexes or thumbs. In light of being objective, you have to take into account how difficult the song is for all the major playing styles and average it out. That's why indexers think AIM Anthem should be ranked way easier and 4 finger players think it should be called harder. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
That's me! Also, no way Tetris should be a 7. Look at Tsugaru 180 New Version, which is 48. Half of the song is a 4th note tap, gallop pattern. Probably 300 people have AAA'd Tsugaru. If a 4th note-build song can get away with a 48, then 16th burst-song certainly deserves at least a 51, doesn't it? |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
I think Piano Etude should be before Pants. Pants is longer, has that end jumpstream, and a bunch of 4 framers (Maybe 5?).
Sure, PE(DF) has jacks, but it is a lot easier to combo excluding the ending with the 12ths. |

I can't seem to find EternuS on this list.
It's up to your judgement as to where to place it. Also, Fahrenheit and GO! are no longer exclusive to Subscribers. Last edited by somerndmguy; 08-18-2007 at 12:07 PM.. |

o--o o--o o--o o--o You say, so what? I say, oh yes! Play Rebirth0's Love Tropicana Final on SM. What if Rebirth0 put that file in FFR? There'd be like 100 3 framers in that file. Besides, it takes one misstep to lose a combo. Remember that. |

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
Dawn should definitely not be a very difficult. It has 793 arrows spaced out over 3.5 minutes and none of the patterns are particularly difficult. Pylons and Kagami are definitely a lot harder (both are rated difficult).

Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2
ViennaCore isn't a VC even with runningmen and one handed trills.
Unless there's some trick there: ViennaCore, VC, Very Challenging, VC. Last edited by smartdude1212; 08-24-2007 at 05:35 PM.. |
