Default The War of the Worlds!

Maybe it's a stupid post, but i just finished reading the book with my class.. and I loved it.

Welcome to the planet Mars.
As a focal point for my interest in the War Of The Worlds radio broadcast of 1938, an infamous event that saw portions of the United States gripped by panic as fictional Martian invaders rampaged across the New Jersey countryside. But Mars has a rich history in fact and fiction and thus the site is now expanding to cover anything imaginable under a red Martian sky.

Ooh... Can't wait for the movie to come out on June 29th... Meh, i didn't think Tom Cruise would be in this movie, but what the heck.

I am sorry, but this is almost definately going to suck. The Time Machine movie made me lose hope in any good H. G. Wells book movies.

*Shudder* that was a terrible movie.

I tell you, if they screw up the movie... May the wrath of H. G. Wells fans slam down on them with the heat of 1,000 suns and a four-slot toaster.

Then again, it's Speilburg (Or however you spell it) and he did a pretty decent job with the Jurrassic Park series, which followed the book nicely.

Who knows, 50% chance that it's gonna rock, 50% chance it's going to suck like a black hole.

Oh, and the broadcast on Halloween 1938 rocks so very much

The book and the movie for The Time Machine are totally different. The book is really good. This movie should be good too.

I just saw the movie. I thought it was awesome. Especially the special effects. The story is like a roller coaster ride. There are some pretty intense moments, and some not so intense moments. The sad part is, people with short attention spans will get lost on the slower parts.

But over all it was a really great movie. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

I saw the late show last night. It was great for like....the first 90% of it, when it comes to the closing action it gets so miniscule you kinda feel cheated by the ending.

True. The action kind of gets...not as intense in the end. And if it werent for the fact that that is how the original War of the Worlds ended, I do believe I would have been dissapointed.
