Re: Beat Hazard
I'm trying to find a good way to SS some scores but there's no PrintScreen button on a MBP and the Steam leaderboards page is lackluster
Best Survival - With a Spirit (lol i know shut up > ) - 20min 7sec - 24,239,900 - hardcore Best over 5 minutes - Tiger Girl - 65dos - 1,800,561,400 - hardcore I'll put some others up soon, the rest are all suicide scores rather than hardcore

Re: Beat Hazard
I was looking into this game but it seems disappointing. It's pretty but it is in no way a music game or really has anything to do with the music you are playing. The enemies are generated with total disregard of the music. It's pretty much just playing asteroids with a windows media player visualization going on. I could play geometry wars to my music folder to.

Re: Beat Hazard
Pretty much, but the strobing effects are really fun when you're blazed.

Re: Beat Hazard
I wish things could still entertain me like they used to. I don't know whether it is because of learning a lot of programming that games just don't impress me anymore or I've just played to many games.
Games still look graphically amazing though.. I just never feel like I can enjoy playing them. |

Re: Beat Hazard
The game's AMAZING. Please go grab the Indie Beat Pack on Steam that's for sale (4.99).
It includes Beat Hazard, Chime, BIT.TRIP (amazing ****), Rhythm Zone, etc.. ! Screw torrents, support the game makers! |

Seriously, do not spawn enemies during or right before quiet bits! This is obvious. The algorithm they use seems weak and most of the effort was put into making bullets pulse with the music. Which is awesome! But not as awesome as not unavoidably dying.

Edit: Nvm. It looks like you need to patch games to be able to get them to work without steam. Might be easy enough though. Seems kind of fun I guess. 73 multiplier on hardcore. Seems easy so far, but I have nothing to compare scores to because everyone would have different songs. Last edited by Izzy; 12-25-2010 at 03:30 AM.. |
