You mentioned it first! It's my moms friend, she gives me 30 dollars a day, 5 days a week (weekdays). I'm babysitting this hyper 8 year old, but he isn't worse then my brother. >.>

Anyways, I think 12k is very little. Mom and dad said they make more then 500k per year..compare that to how much I make. x.x

You shouldn't be getting more than 20 dollars a week at age 13. I don't want to know how much you were getting 5 years ago. You obviously don't know how to manage money. I'm sure that if anyone here for $700 randomly they would spend half of it, and ether pay bills with the rest, or put it away somewhere. Next time you get money from your dad put it in the bank.

Ah! Alas, I have fooled myself. Of course you don't need to put money away, you probably already have a surprise 100k waiting in your Education fund. Have fun in life. :]

Edit: By the way I used to get $200 a year, now I'm empty on cash flow until I get a job.

Thanks! Yeah, mom and dad have lots of money saved for our college funds already. ^^

I started getting 50 dollars a week when I was 8, then it increases by 10 every birthday. =D

EDIT: Only 200 dollars a year? =(

Soulstone is rich, guys. At one point he had like 10,000 bucks saved up. And that was at like age 12...rofl.

You have an ITG machine in your room, right bro?

I get 40 bucks a month and I use it on movies and food and random nonrenewable stuff.

Heh if only you guys came to my house. Or my aunts house who is technically with bob dylan. I went to her house once. Its like 5 minutes from the beach in california. He tore down 3 houses for her and built a new one and put in a pool -_-; She has so many rooms in her house that they just make random themed rooms like a cowboy room and then never use it again.

Rofl @ topic change.

BTW, 100 dollars for allowance and 150 dollars for babysitting every week. So, 250 dollars a week, about 1k dollars a month. 12k a year. It's not that much..
250 a week? For doing barely anything? I get nothing for working my butt off.

Over 5000 dollars in allowance a year to a 13-year-old for just "being awesome" is a lot. lol

You can fix the pad without getting a new machine. Unless you give me the machine. Then you cant.

Soulstone, you seem to fail to understand how incredibly advantaged you are, given the way you keep shooting your mouth off about it like it is nothing.

The most I ever got in allowance was 20.00/week, which required me to do a large amount of work to earn. All my family's "college fund" managed to do was cut my debt down from the average 40,000 dollars to about 20,000 dollars (And I owe [as in have to pay back] my family probably another 10,000)

While I might have once lived in a mid-19th century mansion-sized home, I've also lived three people to a one-bedroom apartment, living off welfare cheques.

All you do by going "haha check me out, I get free money cause I'm awesome" is make everyone who doesn't get this stuff handed to them on a silver platter pissed off at you for being everyone's least favourite kind of braggart: The kind who brags about things that he has no control over, and that don't imply anything positive about himself.

Bragging that your parents are rich, and not teaching you the value of money just makes me sad for you, it doesn't make me think your'e awesome.

Me= $1500 this summer for doing research...(and it's all being drained into summer camp fees).

You know what? I'm going to start a wildly successful blog and rake in ad earnings of 100k per year and come back here so I can feel awesome. Just you wait.
