I work 50 hours a week with a very nice split. My wages are significant because I make decent money. You should probably use the more correct term "partially inconclusive" or something to that extent. A more appropriate question would be how much does one make per pay period?

Actually, for those of you making more than 7 or 8 bucks an hour, I'd love to hear what your job is and how you got it. I'm almost 21 for god's sake and want to find a job with better payoff. It kinda sucks to work all summer and during the year only to see all the money flow into bills.

Work for a hardware store. I AM the paint department, lmao, my boss sits on the comuter all day and plays solitare or does paperwork, and the other paint guy is some 65 year old dude who spills a gallon of paint once a month.

Actually, federal minimum wage was raised in July of this year to $5.85, up from $5.15. EI_Tizzy only got paid more because of the new spike. States may be different; for example, all of the Great Lakes states except Indiana have a higher minimum wage than that set by the federal government.

hmm lets figure out my next paycheck:
$17 times 75= $1275
$1275 times 2 (bi-weekly pay)= $2550
4% of $2550 = $102
$2550 - $102 in vacation pay = $2448
15% of $2550 = $382.50
$2448 - $382.50 in rough income tax and such = $2065.50
and thats without over time

I'm a chef at a restaurant, was night manager and senior employee. And I'm only 17! it's a good job tho, but I'm dead after working like that most of the summer... and don't worry, I started out as a dishwasher there for $7.50 lol but we have this retarded oil boom going on so, so i moved up fast... theres never enough workers

Get a job at a local hospital. I did volunteer hours at my local hospital this summer, and they said that next summer I can get paid 20$+ per hour. I'm only 15. It's not a gross job either.
They let you do easy stuff, like cleaning equipment, or labeling things, or taking inventory.

It's simple, fun, and you learn a lot!
However, I don't know how easy it would be for you to get a job.

I go to the "best" high school in America, and I take really hard courses for my age.
I also got divine recommendations from old teachers.

If you can do that, you get victory road. =P

You sure seem pretty proud of it. But do remember, there's more than one type of intelligence in this world and school probably only tests you in two-three of them.

Jamuko, I have no idea what your job is but if you've been working there for a long time and you're not getting a raise, it's about time to change jobs. But of course, I have no idea what your situation is. =\

As for me, I don't work at the moment. I used to do a lot of babysitting for about seven bucks an hour and then I didn't get paid at all after a while because I eventually grew to like the kids and it was pretty much just having friends over. That's just to give you an idea of how long I babysat the same kids.
