Tried out rhythm and police and tried to do the crossovers the way they're supposed to be done, was super exhausting xD

Passed a new 14...Hardest one to date in my opinion.

Heres a vid of the chart. Played by some random person cause there isnt a vid of anyone good playing it.

Some other score I like from today.

I know I am super late here (sorry I'm not on the computer as much as I'd like) but your actually very good if you've fc'd so deep, especially since I would assume your playing that on a bad pad (you can't play so deep unless your on a ddr extreme machine, so therefore bad pad). I know that it's really tempting to cheat the crossovers in songs like rhythm and police, but once you get them down they're actually less tiring then cheating, or at the very least more fun, you should keep practicing them .

Though I think some of the crossovers in that song don't actually work, or at least that's what I remember.

Anyways....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I cannot believe I actually passed this, it was an itg goal for me but I didn't think I would ever hit it so soon. I am so ridiculously happy now you guys have no idea o.o.

Also one more score just because I took it today so why not

Wow this was way harder than I thought it was gonna be. I thought it would be a couple of long streams with mostly breaks, it turned out out to be a whole bunch of continuous hard streams and a couple of breaks, for like 6 minutes >.<

We have a local offsync upgrade cab to play atm (only public cab in the UK right now!) so at least I can start getting my stamina back. Pack distribution is shitty though. ITG Officials > Subluminal > SSSC2 > Dragonforce > Tachyon Delta. Some random other files, but lacking in the 12-14 area!

Denjin K Megamix - 92.26% is the only score I feel worth mentioning recently, and that's only because I still have the stamina to pass it!

Had another skillboost today, I installed the arcade mod for my cobalt flux and it really helped. I feel more comfortable playing now, but I have a stamina issue.

Stamina issue, first pass

First A, I rush the trills though. I have no trill control

First B. Improvement from my first pass, I definitely got a skillboost

Holy shit I FC'd the 8th streams going into the jumps at the end with some great rushing, this file is easier for me to score on than max 300 right now because I have a stamina issue. First A.

Now to the 11s (most of them are from Indeed Pad Pack):

Passed!

Thought I'd fail at the ending 24ths like I did last time, fortunately that didn't happen this run. This file is relentless.

YES passed the death run at the end

I consider this my best pass as of now next to thrash, the second half of this file is brutal. The 24th run took away half my lifebar and the crossover-heavy streams hit me hard

Can I ask why you play the DDR officials so much? The majority of konami's charts are just plain bad lol.

Only curious because you have access to hundreds of good charts made for ITG. Glad to see you're improving either way, Im waiting for you to vibrate full combo scythe of 13's 190bpm 24th trills

How can you do so well on maxx unlimited and have just A'd max 300? It's still a struggle to pass that file after A'ing max 300. Nice job btw. And I think the ending is 3/32nds even though it should be 12ths (lolkonami).

Fascination ~ELM~ is literately the biggest pos ever made ever so gj on passing it. Everything else is cool, esp. Thrash. Curious to see what you would get on some of the easier 10's like Bag, Sakura, and the Legend of Max since you're playing DDR songs.

They have a lot of turning and the patterns require a lot of movement so it's good for building up stamina. Same goes for files in indeed pad pack except the files don't have ambiguous double steps like DDR does

It's a stamina issue. In Maxx Unlimited you can go no-bar and chill at the freezes, but in Max 300 you've got the stop and that's it. So basically, Max 300 is more draining and I tend to rush the trills in it.

If you're trying to build stamina why not play the easy levels of the Pendulum pack or play some of the songs with slower 16th streams like Baby(130bpm streams in one of Mandodo's packs), Crazy Loop(133bpm) and Johanna(just like crazy loop)

I've noticed that I tend to build up stamina faster when I'm doing charts that require a lot of movement. e.g. Famicom Selecta, Paranoia Survivor Max Heavy, Thrash and Uptown Saturday Night had me breathing hard after the song ended, but I do feel increased stamina over time.

Edit: Fixed my post, it was displaying Max 300 instead of Famicom Selecta in the 11s section

I find maxx unlimited way more draining then max 300. Max 300 is a ton of trills and very easy patterns and I can kind of barely move my feet on them, whereas maxx unlimited I have to make a lot of sudden movements to hit certain patterns, and it just feels like a longer song (I think it is too, by like 15 seconds or something). You play a lot differently then I do I guess, I'm interested to see what you do good at when you get better later on.

As for the ddr issue, I agree that the way the charts are designed in ddr make them a good way to practice reading lots of different sorts of patterns, crossovers, and stamina, but it's always good to combine them with straight up stamina tests too, that's what I do. It looks like that's what your doing too by playing the ddr boss songs and then 11's, keep it up and your sure to overcome your stamina problem in no time.

Oh btw dossar do you have all the ddr songs? Cause if you do you should try possession expert. It's one of the best stamina testers on ddr I think (besides anti matter challenge and 888), and it's also one of the most fun songs on there, give it a shot sometime

I'm going to go against the grain and say that I think it's good that you're starting on the DDR songs Dossar. Although the quality of charts the community make are of a higher quality, the boss charts before SuperNOVA are all actually quite good. And there are plenty of regular charts that are so much fun to play! Can't Stop Falling In Love -Speedy Mix-, Rhythm and Police, No.13, Xepher, Paranoia Rebirth, Dead End, Afronova, Exotic Ethnic, V (Challenge Chart). They're just a few songs that are good for building specific skillsets whilst trying to get your accuracy down, and also damn fun to play. I recommend all of those if you have them Dossar

As for your problem with trills, almost every player I've ever chatted to seems to have that problem at one speed or another. Most of the tricks you probably use on FFR to keep timing you've probably realised you can use on feet, but before you can even do that you just need to keep playing more and more until your legs are able to handle the movements you want to do. When I have to do long or fast trills, I use the foot that started the trill to keep time, making sure that each second step I hit with that foot is in time to the music and adjusting my timing from there.

Although you're not going to be anywhere near passing it yet, play the 15 for DeltaMAX from Tachyon Alpha and you should be able to get some damn good practice, and work out at what speed you start to have trouble (since every 2nd note the BPM raises by 1).

As for stamina, just make sure you're always pushing yourself hard with each session. I agree with you that for now, playing songs with increased movement (fucktons of crossovers and candles) will be very beneficial until you're at the point where you can score well on the good DDR Boss songs (Max 300, The Legend of Max, Paranoia Survivor Max, etc. Not Eternal Love Mix!), then start moving onto trying to score on the things Dragon mentioned (Crazy Loop, I Can Walk on Water I Can Fly, Johanna (Shut Up), etc etc).

Oh, and during all of this don't forget to push your speed in sessions too. ITG officials are brilliant for this, and have fun charts. ITG Rebirth is included in this. Chromatic Blitz 11 = <3

Although this is pretty long, it basically boils down to 'Keep playing stuff you like and stuff that's challenging, making sure you push yourself, and you'll get better'. You know more than anybody about focussing on weaknesses and perfecting specific techniques, so you'll get those down in no time, but no matter what you do it will take time to build up the stamina to do the harder and faster stuff. Do you have any videos of you playing at all? I'd be interested to see how you play

I know this is DDR and ITG scores but I'm really proud of passing this so I'm posting it anyways. Anyways where else would I put a PIU score >.<

Also here's a vid of someone playing this for reference, not the best video but oh well, maybe I'll try and get a vid of me playing it sometime.

I had a good session on our off-sync upgrade cab with missing brackets yesterday! (seriously, the up and right arrows are missing a bracket XD)

Since coming back to ITG I've been reading ~750bpm Hallway, but decided to push the limits today and play everything closer to 840bpm Hallway. Turns out it's what I needed to be able to get back to streaming fast stuff decently! Due to the pack limitations on this machine it was mostly stuff from the SSSC2 pack, and thus just about everything is a sightread. And my scores would probably better if almost the whole machine wasn't offsync.

Denjin K Megamix (14 - Random) - Another 93% pass. Was my first song, and being able to finish something over 20 minutes long with no warmup and lots of 190bpm stream is always a sign it's gonna be a good day...
Melon Lover (13 - SSSC2) - 95.20% (long 180bpm streams)
Strike of the Ninja (13 - Dragonforce) - Full Combo'd all of the 24th runs in it, which is a major improvement. Just a 94% or so though.
Destination Helios (14 - SSSC2) - 91.32% (200bpm streams woo)
Electric Butterfly (13 - SSSC2) - 97.xx%
What Will Come of Me (13 - SSSC2) - Score doesn't matter, ecstatic at the full combo!
Empire State Glory (13 - SSSC2) - 97.86% FC! (dem trills)
Jambi (13 - SSSC2) - 96.xx% (offsync makes this a bitch)
Asator (14 - SSSC2) - Played this twice. Pussied out in the 2nd run on the first try as my wrists were killing me. Played 2 songs nobar to make them okay, then got this (long 180bpm streams)

Gravity Blast (14 - Subluminal) - Didn't think it'd be much harder than the one from TLOES, turns out those runs are quite a bit longer!

Detonation (15 - SSSC2) - Love this song, love this chart, thought that since I was doing well at 210 I'd give it a go. Those runs were longer than I remembered, but for my first pass I'm not complaining! I think that's 6 15's now

Next time I go down I'm taking my video camera and will have a regular camera ready since we don't have a USB port in it...
