Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Goatrope commentary was god tier
Informative and well-spoken Not sure what was faster, his speedrun or his words per minute

Didn't get to see the THPS run but I managed to find it on YouTube. Awesome run, Remedy!

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Here's the run. Remedy was actually running behind for most of the run, but since 100% requires all gold and George got bronze in the Roswell contest, Remedy was able to catch him. 7:51 swag |

doom 64 watch me die run was my favorite so far

I think I've mentioned it before but Blueglass has the most annoying laugh ever.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
why would anyone hate on Blueglass? He's clearly not the brightest guy ever (it seems pretty obvious that he has aspergers imo), but he genuinely loves speedrunning and supports as many runners as he can at every single A/SGDQ.
Annoying laugh or not, I think everyone should appreciate his enthusiasm. |

Plus he runs the best game. I mean who the fuck doesn't like Ecco?

Also I wish I could have seen MBM do a serious Pokemon run like last year, but all he did was the stupid two minute Yellow glitch. ;__;

Last week, a world record fell after 3 years.
Andrew Gardikis had 4:58.14 on Super Mario Brothers for a while. NOT ANYMORE. |

Edit: Just looked at the TAS vs. RTA video. I wonder if that wall strat for 4-2 is possible non-TAS. Along with the end of the 8-1 strat. They may be frame-perfect jumps but it would save a few frames if mastered.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
puncay is a beast
also i dont know if anyone will ever beat the new Mario Bros. 1 WR. It's like, the god run... Granted its only 5 minutes of gameplay but based on how that game works its only really feasible to beat it by one frame rule (21 frames iirc) but that would be an absolutely insane run fyi everyone - ESA is at the end of July and should be pretty hype |

I don't see why not, Dynamo. The pipe jump in 8-4 is frame-perfect.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Got to Mother Brain and my last super missile got blocked by a bullet from one of the turrets -_- FML...Was ahead by over 30 seconds too =/ Oh well, at least I know I can still do decently well. Seems like all that movement practice has paid off since I got a gold time for nearly every split.
