The music was good from what little I experienced and the job dilemma choices were very interesting.

You have good taste. The job system in five is godly.

This is true. No, I'd say it goes FFVIII, FFVI/FFV/FFIV all tied for 2nd place, and FFXIII for third. The only one I haven't ever played is FFX, regretfully. I was too disheartened after FFIX tbh D:

6, 4, 10, and Tactics are my faves though personally
This is true, and you have good taste.

Wouldn't a draw, or neutral statement, be like a null read though?

Y'know...

AS A NULL READ!?

From what I've played.

Tactics was also very good even though the game started to get stupid easy after you recruited Orlandu.

Also going to sleep since I live in the same timezone of AA, hopefully this thread doesn't explode when I check it in the morning.

.....Good point.

I'm just trying to make clear that I mean the Japanese III, not VI which was released in America as "Final Fantasy III" back in the 90s.

Doing the FFXIII midnight release I almost got in a fight because I said I found III to be boring and not good. Half the people thought I meant VI and the mood quickly went south.
If you have the 3ds, consider both games recommended, at least to try the demo to see if it fits your taste.

Ah, I see.
It's a shame how agressive people can be over what's essentially a matter of personal taste in regard to something meant for entertainment, really.

Never played any main FF games myself tbh, would you recommend one to start with?

Pick a response:

1 Uematsu didn't do the OST for XIII but it was nice I suppose

2 XIII is garbage and you should feel bad for thinking it's a good game. If you can play that boring, trite PoS then holy fuck is XV gonna blow your mind

Anyway X is super easy to get on almost any major Sony platform and Steam. Hell it's on sale on PC right now.

Well it depends.

Do you want to read... or listen?

Because if you want to read rather than listen.

...

Actually probably FFVII would be my go to for first time, lol. FFVIII is a bit of a woozy in it's battle system... can't comment on FFIX thouh, haven't played it.

If you want to listen.

There is no other option.

FFX for sure

Okay... there's something that seems to be sprouted from the Internet.

Is FFXIII actually bad? I've never played it, but only heard negative opinions about it.

So... is it?

Dont have a 3DS

Depends on what you want in an RPG:

Want a gameplay heavy classic one? III or V (V really)

Want one known for the story? VI, VII or VIII

Want a newer "updated" RPG system? XII or XV

Want my personal recommendation on what I think got everything right? X.

X2 does not exist.

Fair enough, that gag was just silly, and not in a good way. Bad translation/localization choices were one of the game's issues besides the plot. Ah, yes, the digital version shuffle.

Indeed, the dilemmas were nice, if a little sloppily handled as the game went on.
