Message on Xbox
Has anyone else received a message on xbox from "XBOXLIVEInc"?
The message stated this, in this exact wording with typos. "Notification, It seems your account has some corrupted files. To be sure this is your account please send us you email and password. Then you will be verified. If you don't your account will be banned. Thank You, Microsoft." Does anyone know if this is a scam? Has anyone else received this?

Re: Message on Xbox
I don't have an xbox but I'm fairly certain this is just spam, I'd ignore it if I were you.

Re: Message on Xbox
Yeah they will. I get messaged when I get banned. But it's not a warning lol. It's just, "You have been banned for .... reason"

Re: Message on Xbox
It's a fscking GAMERTAG! Anyone could make a name XBOXLIVEInc or XBOXLIVESupport
I can't believe you're actually considering this as legitimate... If they wanted to get ahold of you, they would phone you with the number you used in the registration - NOT a xbox live voice message... |

Re: Message on Xbox
A company would never ask for your pass like that. If you're that worried, call xbox live support or something, then they'll also know that someone is trying to steal passwords.

Re: Message on Xbox
"If you don't your account will be banned."
Companies do not use the word 'don't', ever, they use Do Not. Improper english along with being unprofessional. So yeppers... scam. |

Re: Message on Xbox
I've been getting scam emails from Banks especially, so I'm not surprised they're doing scams on these as well. Don't fall for it. Delete and ignore.
Only emails I ever get are about them extending my Xbox Live account

Re: Message on Xbox
I'm no 360 expert, but I'm pretty certain that emails requesting your account information because of [insert random situation here] are clearly scams for just about anything, not just on XBOX LIVE.
In other words, it's an obvious scam. Delete and ignore unless you have the desire to have your account stolen. |
