might be doing away with letter sorting, keeping difficulty organization

whattt

its easier for me to find files otherwise and i don't see what's useful about difficulty organization ~__~

also it seems messy to me to have a. b. c. d. e. etc. everywhere...

Are you guys looking for a specific type of song? Could it be a song that has been stepped before? I kind of want to submit, but I'd rather not entirely embarrass myself, it's better if I at least know if I should submit or not rather than submit a horrible song choice and have it verbally raped.

It should be a good song choice, that hasn't been stepped by GLoVE, Yesssss, Puppet, etc.

"good song choice" is kind of obvious, who wants to step a bad song? a good song though would be something that is not repetitive (like your generic techno songs and stuff), makes fun patterns, would make something unique in the file, etc.

kommi u dont want to judge o.0
i mean a third would help a toooon and i dont think patashu is interested. plus we can reunite the ffrcp1 team ;.;

also alex's file went to the spam folder (and note that this thread is not instantly updated lol)

as for good music, step what you like honestly. i really really doubt most of you enjoy 5 minute trance songs that end up making files full of alternating 8th jumps and boring jumpstream; yet people seem to step those a lot. i personally have an aversion to most breakcore and dnb not only because it sounds bad to me, but because they all make the exact same simfile with marginal difference in merit depending on the simauthor. try stuff that would make something unique because my number one criticism for files is that they are just like everything else :>

Promised I’d get a file in this once it started. Sooner than I thought though. I hope I don’t miss out here .

Just sent in a tech DNB file. Should be good. Knowing you guys, I will probably need to revise my files. Will spend time on revisions, and I want something in this pack, so plz tell me if anything is missing.

Will send in more files later on.

Boring, repetitive, etc. You could layer better; some of the jumps were when the song was really light, for example. Some freezes were unnecessary, and you could probably change some of them to be something more effective. The 24ths are also questionable to me; you could try something else for that. Lastly, you probably don't need two charts for this, as the edit itself suffices. The mines don't change much and they're fine in the edit chart.
So basically...

-light parts call for lighter layering
-some 24ths feel off
-just vary it up a little

And before I fix it, if the file was as good as it could get based on the merits of the song, would it be accepted? I don't want to spend an hour fixing a file that isn't good enough to get in no matter what.

EDIT: The letter organization was sort of obnoxious for me, but it might be useful for beginners who don't want to sort through all those files to find something they can play. Also don't leave me out I was part of the FFRCP1 team rite? T.T
