Spenner's (attempted) HDR Photography

I love HDR photos. Ever since I saw my first one I wanted to be able to do it myself D: so I did some research and found a way to do it on my ****ty old family digital camera that just happens to be okay for what it is!!! (Canon Powershot A720 IS).

The reason that camera isn't very good for this is because it can't take multiple exposure shots back to back (like, fast back to back). So whenever I want to take one I have to whip out the ol' tripod and make sure not to move whatsoever when pressing the shoot button and the changing exposure buttons

So yeah, enough of that, here's some I've done in the past two weeks!

Overtime for the crime
Downtown
Some wall that doesn't even look like an HDR but is indeed one
Trainwreck
The Factory
A Bridge
Post Host
Sunset 1
Warmth
Sunset 2
Heaven's Perch
Rusty Day
My house (seriously)

^^^Those are in order of newest to oldest. Only say that because I like my newer ones more ;l

But yeah. I've been playing around with HDR, and I'm surprised how easily it can be done with such a camera as mine =D

These are the only good ones imo. The others either have really bad composition, or the merging came out really bad.

Sunset1 came out the best.

Although you did really well for just having a Powershot camera, I think you should invest in a good dslr!

They're "altered" in a sense, but it's 3 of the same photo of different light exposures merged into one. Not a whole lot else other than some saturation changes and the smoothness of the blending.

Ontario... but there isn't much rural area around here. I happen to be near some sorta nice spots but not really :l I'd much rather be someplace nice like BC. For photography's sake, that is.

it's a sunrise by the way :P I had to get up early for a one hour class that ended up being a half hour class so I had some time when I got home, and the sky was just perfect as the sun was running up super slow.

Here's a couple more I guess. They're much better in hi-res on my Deviantart, so yeah >_>
