Imagine you have 10 people over for a party and you are trying to order pizza.
4 people want pepperoni and 6 people want plain cheese.

You talk for 27 hours straight about the virtues of proper pizza toppings, then everyone leaves without getting food at all.

This is the U.S. Senate.
After going home each person then "taxes" 15 pizzas from their relatives and children, and all unanimously vote next year to raise their weekly pizza payment to 16.

i respect women greatly and my views towards them have evolved over the years that i find "lol womens rights" jokes downright distastful and uncanny

my view on abortion comes down to this: should only be considered when the developing fetus is a lethal threat to the mother

this isnt as religiously influenced as i just find it unfair that people can choose to terminate another person's imminent existence based on convenience

and senip good job recognizing that there cant possibly be women in the world that are pro life themselves

it can be but it also can be necessary on giving an ideology a fighting chance to be considered. sorta like a 'last stand' against a government policy

i don't see why abortion is a legitimate topic within politics, that's all
it's just pandering to emotions, there should be no place for it

At this point, I don't even think it's about the abortion. I think it's about the fact that the senate made Davis jump through all of those hoops and she pushed it past midnight... and they tried to pass the bill anyway.

damn somebody raped me and/or i didn't learn a lot about birth control when i was a teenager but i guess this fetus that hasn't developed a brain yet is considered a fully developed human being so i'm now entitled to spend much of my resources and finances to support this baby that i don't want

awesome pro-life yeah !

get real dude this isn't about conservative vs liberal nor politics
this is unwanted pregnancies and the government trying to prevent pro-choice in the namesake of mostly religion and unfounded, non-scientific arguments

I'm not sure why people are acting so toxic to aDLP, given his track record here you'd think he'd get more of the benefit of the doubt for a conflicting opinion.

Message boards: "where people pretend to be cool and apathetic about everything until someone disagrees about something"
