I have no idea what it's supposed to be then cause it sure as hell looks like water to me, albeit a bit murky. I can even see a little wave at the riverside closest to the camera.

Ah. OK. That one should really have a hint attached to it by default because IMO that's really hard to figure out on your own. Like, sure you might speculate that's what's weird about it but it's difficult to confirm that's actually what's going on without someone telling you.

I couldn't figure it out until I noticed the little bit of shadow on the dirt near the lower-middle of the picture -- that stood out as odd to me and the rest followed suit.

I never got the point of the scary ones, I can never be freaked out by them like some people (trust me, I actually want to be scared from one. I feel like I'm missing out somehow)

It's not so much that I get scared, rather disturbed. I don't find them particularly scary either and most of them are pretty shitty as well (like the little girl hiding in the corner or the teddybear waving at the cam). They remind me of those youtube videos of people using some shitty effect to create a scary face or create a super sayian effect in after effects or something.

edit: This one is properly disturbing imo, but that's because it's not photoshopped or made for the sake of scare effect:

They're all pretty obvious, just look a little away from the focal point of the picture and you'll find it 9/10. I guess that mindset doesn't really help the "game" of finding it for yourself and flipping out

Actually, if you want to go watch something scary, these are the only two scenes I have ever watched in any movie, ever, that have gotten to me:

1. What Lies Beneath

2. Japanese version of Ju-On 2 (The Grudge 2)

The story about the couple who live in the corner apartment with the thudding noises coming from the other side of the wall. The source of those thuds = holllyyy fuck, did not expect at all
