Scrathced Up CD, Fix Suggestions?
Okay, Recently I found an old game of mine that is called Sea Dogs. Don't know if you heard of it or not. Sea Dogs is an Epic Adventure At Sea. But, I found it very scratched. When I try to install it it only gets to 56% and stops there completely. So, I Gogle it up and I get a few things that lead to Brasso Polish. I try that teqnuiqe and now my computer doesn't even read the disk. I need suggestions. The fate of the CD lays in your hands FFR. Any help?

put some glue on the scratch, smear it around the scratched area, leave it on for at least 5 minutes, then wash it off. I did this to some of my cds and it worked amazingly.

well I'd recommend praying to the dark gods, you might have to give part of your soul up to do it though. but hey win win, you get to experiment with powers beyond your control and if they somehow summon a minature black hole to consume your disc in its entirty, you have another coming via amazon

Or you could just get a paper towel and put water on it, and gently rub the CD -.- I do this and it turns out half of the scratches aren't really that deep and just go away this way, turning out to be something other than scratches.

glue works and so does toothpaste...
just rub toothpaste all over it and let it sit for 5 -10 minutes and wash it off it worked for my DDRMAX2 for playstation 2 im not quite sure if it will work for CDs on computer |

RE: Re: RE: Scrathced Up CD, Fix Suggestions?
Ok.. trust me on this one DJ. Hopefully your CD isn't messed up from the other methods.
Get 1 pot of boiling water drop your CD in for 20 seconds take out IMMEDIATELY after the 20 seconds or else you might ruin the CD This is a common trick that will soften up the scratches so that the surface becomes smooth. You do this at your own risk and if you keep it in there to long or mess up your CD for any reason, I am not responsible. You can however hold ToshX responsible and ask him to pay for a new CD even though he has no idea I said this nor does he know of this method. Cheers, Synthlight |

RE: Re: RE: Scrathced Up CD, Fix Suggestions?
A) Tie a string to it or B) dump the water out
