Wreck-it-Ralph
GO SEE IT
I wont post any spoilers, don't worry. But I just saw it opening night. SO MANY REFERENCES!!! I'm surprised they were able to licence all of the background and main characters. Also really great story-line. Best movie of the year for me perhaps... I dunno, it's close with looper. Thoughts?

Re: Wreck-it-Ralph
Gonna watch it tomorrow with a group. I hope to see a lot of references to games I've played in my lifetime

I'm seeing it tonight. Free staff show \o/
I'm afraid that it's going to be a massive disappointment, though... I can see this movie being done really poorly or really well. |

I want to see it. Apparently the director was working with the Simpsons during their golden years and worked on such episodes as "Marge vs. The Monorail." I'm definitely excited to see it.

Re: Wreck-it-Ralph
Just saw it. Best hour and a half of my nerdy 90s kid life.
I feel bad for the 7 year olds who didn't get the 100+ references. They made the movie that much more nostalgic and genuinely hilarious. Ballsy move using all these references from 80s and 90s in a movie whose audiences consist of 2000s kids and their parents. Would see again any given day. Will definitely buy when on DVD or blu-ray. Will try to watch again tomorrow heavily intoxicated with my friends that haven't seen it yet.

Re: Wreck-it-Ralph
I loved it so much.
I would like to see it on its original audio though (I'm from Mexico so the movie got dubbed). But it was a GREAT movie. |

Re: Wreck-it-Ralph
Movie was amazing. Any fears I had were completely groundless. A+ script, actors, and animation. I'd can honestly say this is probably the best movie made since I was born. Plus that little animation (called Paperman btw) before the movie was incredibly touching and well-done too. Like........... asdljfsaljgoiaflksjfa too good.

I had a cheesy smile on my face during that animation, pretty cute.

Re: Wreck-it-Ralph
I made this avatar in July. I saw the trailer in the theaters and I just couldn't get my mind off of it. People know I'm a retro gamer. I even made an amazing post in DragonIIDX's thread to find as many references as I could based on the images available at the time. Like, I ****ing nerdgasmed after seeing the trailer.
And then I went to the theater yesterday with my girlfriend. And then. And then (boner, stahp. stahp) THIS MOVIE IS THE FREAKING BEST EVER OK? Like even better than Toy Story. This gets all my money. I'm buying the Blu-ray, I'm renting the Video Game, already awaiting the sequel, hoping there will be a new retro trend, I don't care, Disney, this was so good, I want more MORE MOREMOREMOREMOREMOREMOREMROEMREOMREOMRO. "When did video games become so violent and scary?" lol that pacman warp, that fps tv that I SAID TOO MUCH GO SEE IT IT'S THE BEST MOVIE OMFG and the actors are just unbelievable I (surprisingly) loved Vanellope, omfg. OMFG. ned. EDIT OMFG I JUST REVISITED THE SITE, IT CHANGED A WHOLE LOT, BUT IF YOU GO TO THE GAME OF YOUR CHOICE AND ENTER THE KONAMI CODE YOU'LL GET SECRET WALLPAPERS THAT'S JUST *dies* Last edited by MarioNintendo; 11-3-2012 at 09:52 AM.. |
