Stupid spread....
There is a bad thing that happened to me 4 or 5 days ago. I was rushing to enter the top 1000 but i felt a pain in my left arm i had to stop playing FFR and i think it will take 1 month. My mom said that it could turn into a ''tendinette'' for those whose French is not his firts langague, it's a pain that everytime you do a continuous movement (for me it's the movement of my finger on the keyboard that cause pain) it will cuase you pain. But now I don't think it turned into a ''tendinette'' (sorry I don't know what's the word in English). I think it's because it was long before i decide to change to 2 hand so when I did my rigth arm had a lot of resistance but not my left hand so when I start with spread I did many challenging and very challenging songs. So I made my left hand forced too much to kept the rythm. I rushed to be in the top 1000, I did, I stopped, I waited 4 days, I writted this and here we are... I hate my pain because I loved to play FFR and now I can't for I don't know how many days...
So here the question: what do you think of it??? FFR_Élite.JPG |

Re: Stupid spread....
tendinette might be tendonitis(sp). not sure.
and that sucks. i don't know what i would do without my daily dose of ffr. hope it heals quickly.

Re: Stupid spread....
i have a pain in both of my forearms. It helps if you stretch you wrists regularly and take breaks so you dont play 4 hours of straight FFR

Re: Stupid spread....
It's called tendinitis. If it hurts, stop playing. If you don't you could seriously mess up your tendons.

Re: Stupid spread....
This happened to me like after I got unbanned a year ago or whatever from my "permaban", and well, yeah, I stopped playing for like a day or two, but then I got this piece of cloth/bandage type thing.. wrapped it around my wrist/hand/arm, to keep it steady, and I continued playing. xD
That might have been a bad idea though. After lots of playing though, your hands get so used to it, and probably some minor after effects include twitching or your fingers spazzing, etc Nothing big, but the pain at first is horrible, just know that it goes away after you get used to playing so much. ^_^ |

Re: Stupid spread....
wow that sucks, dont keep on playing or you might really break something and then you'll never be in the top 1000, better to wait and recov then play for the moment like bench pressing

Re: Stupid spread....
That stinks. I would hate that becuase I can't stand the thought of my rank going down everyday. You should move your arms and wrists around between songs.

Re: Stupid spread....
I'm not really worried for my ranks cause i know how hard is it to be one rank better. (im now at 1015 or something and it have been 5 days since I stopped playing) I'm only 14 so I'm more worried for my left arm than anything.... The fact that my left wrists broke last year migth be a reason...
So now the only thing I can do his wait and have fun on the forums Last edited by Artic_counter; 06-8-2007 at 07:54 PM.. |

Re: Stupid spread....
when I first started getting to the hard songs, like Challenging and up, I had a pain in my arm, couldn't play for maybe 4 days, it's just something that pretty much normally happens.

Re: Stupid spread....
For me, this is my situation:
Index playing - bruised/bloody fingertips and aggravates my sprained right index finger Spread - aggravates carpal tunnel. So yea, just stay off for a bit, unless you want to play 1 handed for awhile. Hey, it could help with 1 handed trills playing spread. |

Re: Stupid spread....
Make sure your arms are parallel to the ground so the keyboard is at a good level and maybe use a wrist rest. Just some suggestions.

I've tried playing FFR today, it had been 5 days since I started felling pain while playing and after 10 song I started felling pain. So I will take a rest of 3 weeks and if it's not heallen, it will be2 month without playing FFR. That,s what I decided.... Ouch for my great FFR skills... stupid injurie...

Re: Stupid spread....
No... I would be happy if it was just that. FFR never took out my stamina ( sometime it does but not so that I can't play) and I play a lot of time... I (played)
