"Acclaimed developer Factor 5 is rumored to be making a new Kid Icarus game for the Wii console. These rumors will likely be confirmed or denied at E3 2008." --Wikipedia

Nintendo doesn't comment on rumors and speculation. They keep everything under wraps unless they actually want us to know about them.

My guess is, since we're purported to have "core audience" games announced at E3, we'll be looking at franchise games. Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing, Kirby, Zelda, and a few others are possibilities. Wii Music is going to be announced as well, since Miyamoto previously mentioned he would not be doing much with Wii Music until Sports and Fit were finished, so now that those are taken care of, Music is getting his attention.

Hell yes. If it's as good as Animal Crossing for Gamecube, I can die happy.

Is this going to be like all of the other Animal Crossing games, where it's good enough to hold my interest for roughly five months?

Here's pretty much the end-all prep for Nintendo's E3 conference.

That would be amazing especially if they make good use of the Wii's unique controls.

One thing that makes this fake. The fact that the "Captain's Log" picture is just an edited screenshot from SSBB. Sorry.

Uh, it's obviously fake. They don't even try to make you think it's real with the artist's name sitting right on the bottom of the image with VGBOXART.COM emblazoned on the side.

It's a concept box.

The rumor isn't about the pikmin 3 box art; it's whether pikmin 3 will exist at all.

I'm not talking about the box art. I'm talking about the game in general.

Well at least I don't have to worry about not having enough money for the good games coming out at the end of the year, since there aren't any...

I wonder why they didn't show Mario Super Sluggers, Wario Land: Shake It!, or the Kirby Super Star remake for the DS.

Only games for the casual crowd were announced at E3 (well, at Nintendo's press conference) and a new Zelda and Mario game are in production.

I don't know if I would classify "the casual crowd" as being the core audience for Animal Crossing, but yeah, pretty much.

I don't think it's so bad though. This is just a dry period. They've got this Wario game coming, Animal Crossing, and a Kid Icarus thing in the works, as well as a new Mario and Zelda game on the horizon. It'll be good in the future, it can't be all golden all the time.
