One thing that's always interested me is stars. Large stars, in particular. Here's a neat video of a size comparison between space things.

Re: Space is kool thread
I'm really tempted to make a topic about astronomy that will include an updated *upcoming events* page, several links to interesting facts as they come along, and my own personal photos of celestial objects now. Should I go ahead? I will do so if enough people are interested, as it will be a time consuming process.

Re: Space is kool thread
The space is always a wonderful thing to me, because whenever I look out into the nighttime skies, I see a time that occurred a million years ago, before any of us were born. The stars were events of a time much better than now. And it makes one think about just what the future holds.

Re: Space is kool thread
I say it'd be nice for this thread to be stickied. Just to be kept up with the astronomical world. It's all so fascinating.

Re: Space is kool thread
Page one is way too early to decide whether anything should be stickied. If the thread gets enough attention, then sticky it. Not that this kind of topic is sticky worthy anyways.

if you have a decent enough computer, I'd recommend toying around with this simulator, it can be very aesthetically pleasing

Re: Space is kool thread
I always felt like life justifies the universe. The universe will probably exist long long long after we are gone, but it seems without us (life) it will all be pointless.
Maybe that is the meaning of life. Also that other dude is stepping on sona's kicks he better recognize |
