Epicly pissed
So I found out earlier today that my friend, Austen, is going to have to go to one of those "Pray the Gay away" camps. He's having to drop all his classes, and live there. Not only can he have not outside contact besides his family, but if he does, he gets into a LOT of trouble. It's going to be horrible, knowing where he is tomorrow morning, which won't be at school.
So explain that Christians. What's not bad about those. How do those not breach multiple parts of the Constitution? Separation of Church and State? Screw that! There are ******s sitting next to my child in school that are disrupting his learning process! They need to be in a special school! Show me what's the difference between that and Antisemitism besides the killing. |

Not CT. Moved to CC.
Also, you can't cure homosexuality. It's not a disease. Psychologists agree that trying to force gay people to be straight can cause permanent psychological damage. It would be akin to forcing a straight person to be gay. |

EDIT: But really, this seems a lot more detrimental to the kid than beneficial. Aside from the fact that it basically won't work. |

Maybe he'll come back cured and start a "Pray the Furry away" camp.

Re: Epicly pissed
Wow, thats pretty....well yeah you get the point.
I used to things gay people were wierd, but at this point in my life, half of my friends are either gay or bi. I really have learned not to care. Its our lives let us live them how we want. PS: this is not biased, because i am not gay or bi

Anyway, when I hear about these "Pray the Gay Away" camps, I can't help but think of that South Park episode where Butters went to one of those places. It's homophobia at an art level. |

Re: Epicly pissed
Yep. It's just ridiculous how stupid some people can be. I'm Christian, and even though I personally believe that homosexuality is a choice, I don't think camps like this are even close to appropriate in any setting.
