Time to say something?
Hey everyone. So, a couple things to start out:
1) I've been around for over 5 years, and realized today that I had posted something on the forums for the first time a short while ago today. So here I am. 2) My name is from when I was 13. Oh how the times change. Whatevs. 3) I started up playing more often when I first got to college a little over a month ago (haven't been overly serious since '11), having realized that for some reason the Velocity engine doesn't lag here like it does at my house. So, I'm finally deciding to make an effort to integrate into the community, which I've also noticed more activity on this website than before. The most recent max users online date is surprisingly recent. On the fence about joining the tourney, it'd be my first. I've also heard things about the active community mostly consisting of the top tier players. That's usually stopped me from being outgoing here most of the time, since most people are way better than me. (The hardest song rating-wise that I'm rather comfortable playing is Holy Orders.) So yeah, what's up? P.S. I also play League. Meep. |

Re: Time to say something?
hey, Deidara! I feel you on the username issue hahaha.
if you like playing the game, then I think you should definitely join the tourney! you'll be placed in a suitable division, and the competition will push you to do your best. it's true that a lot of the active users on the game-related boards here are top-tier players. you can definitely find people of any skill level with whom to talk, though. plus, I think the top players here are really friendly! as for League, you may be interested in this thread |

Re: Time to say something?
My usual username is actually the name of an FFR song, had no idea at the time. Was kinda awkward when I found out. I use "Gradeus", but that was because I loved that old arcade space shooter, and the proper spelling was taken as expected.
And MP is still rather dead. |

Lol danceguy you always seem to find your username kin. it's sort of beautiful, really.
Hey Deidara ^_^ welcome! Not much is up I definitely recommend you join the tourney if you're on the fence - it's an awesome way to meet people and it's one of the most exciting times to be a part of the site, imo. There's tons of ways to meet players who aren't top tier! I'm only in the D2/D3 area, for example. A cool way to meet people and get some encouragement etc. etc. (moderately shameless plug incoming) is to join a team! There are a few around the site and I can tell you more about them if you're interested. MP is indeed dead, but if you ever want someone to play with, shoot me a message. I love MP and I'm always sad when it's empty. Nice to meetcha! |

Re: Time to say something?
Thanks for the welcome! I'm still sure that I'll be D1, no doubt. (Also have made zero efforts at FCs/AAAs for easier stuff.)
Also, I've seen a bunch of these teams around, but what do they actually do? |
