Default The Final Fantasy [7 or 8]

This song came to mind randomly. I had to play it to make sure that I was right about this assumption.

This file has 16th notes in it, and the song sounds faster than 150 BPM. That alone doesn't merit the file being bumped to an 8, though. In addition to 16th notes being peppered throughout the chart, there's one handed trills landing into and out of jumps in the beginning of the chart, and little 16th note fifthlets with jumps starting and ending each set. There's also occasional sprints of 9+ 16th notes (the first which begins with a one handed mini-trill - 12121242424).

The song that carries the top of a difficulty should be hard, but this simply doesn't fit as a 7 to me.

I actually agree with you about the one-handed trill to jump bits.

If you remember, you selected it in your Halloween tournament for D1 players. I mentioned that issue for me ha. I still agree with it, as it continues to frustrate me for that reason. Plus it just doesn't play like 7 rated files.

This was always a really hard file for me due to the one-handed trills and I could never combo it at all when I was FCing nearly all the 7s when I was a D1/D2 player. I vote 8.

I remember this file being one of the most difficult 7s that I've played to FC; the one handed trills leading up to jumps and other random awkward patterns make it definitely 8.

edit: just replayed it, yep. Right off the bat you have that odd 1212[14]. In fact the file has rather a lot of left-handed trills. It's like a slower Mute City Remix without the 24th bursts but with one-handed trills

lol hobgoblin. I had this exact problem in that tournament. this file takes way more concentration to FC properly than other 7s
so my vote for an 8
